You're just plain wrong. Bills 5-5 Steelers 7-3 Bengals 6-4 Titans 5-5 Broncos 5-5 Name the two teams you think are going 10-6. I think only the Steelers will, meaning the Jets would be in at 10-6. Even if the Bengals get to 10-6, there's no guarantee they'd have a better conference record, because both their losses would probably be in conference, putting them at 7-5, which would also be the Jets' conference record if we are to make the playoffs (only loss Jets can afford is against Eagles or Giants.) Broncos and Titans just aren't that good. Bills are horrendous.
Bengals have a pretty damn cupcake schedule tho 27 CLE @ CIN Paul Brown Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 706 85 (CLV) 113 (CIN) 13 Dec 04 CIN @ PIT Heinz Field 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 709 14 Dec 11 HOU @ CIN Paul Brown Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 707 15 Dec 18 CIN @ STL Edward Jones Dome 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 704 16 Dec 24 ARI @ CIN Paul Brown Stadium 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 712 17 Jan 01 BAL @ CIN. Cards, Browns Rams, And Texans (without Schaub) are all very very winnable games. And I really dont expect both the Steelers AND Ravens to both sweep them. Not to mention its very very possible that the Ravens could be locked into a 1st round bye by week 17 and could realistically end up benching their starters. And being that the Chargers have a history of getting incredibly hot come December, if they win out and take their division, then its Steelers/Raiders both beating us in tiebreakers. Esp since the only team the Chargers play that doesnt suck balls is the Ravens and its @ SD so yeah
I agree with what your saying. Some guys on here talk about tiebreakers as if the AFC will be overflowing with 10 win teams. the only argument I have with your post is this ... the Steelers will win the North. if the Jets can win 10 games the only other 10 win Wildcard contender should be the Ravens. I'm not worried about getting help ... I'm alot more worried about the Jets doing their part.
We only have 2 lay down wins on our schedule, the Bills and Chiefs. We will get battled by the Skins, Eagles, Giants and Dolphins. 4 and 2 is probably as good as it gets.
there is alot of football left to play. If the Jets start playing like Jets they will roll into the playoffs and keep on rolling. If they play like losers then they will sit at home. Most likely they will get in the playoffs and kick some butt but they will have to improve to do so. all the haters and the whiners and complainers on here should just quit and go root for the giants or the pats.
I don't know how to feel, on one hadn I am confident b/c this team has overcome bad losses the last 2 years but on the other hand they are playing so bad. It's frustrating but I think most of us felt the same way a year ago after the NE & Miami losses w/ Pitt and Chi coming up on the road.
Absolutely, Sanchez(and the OC) are taking all the heat but if our Ol plays like they can it opens up the run game and our QB will play better. It all comes down to the OL.
Yeah the O-Line needs to step it up big time. I really wish we were seeing some dividends pay out from our investment in Ducasse around this time. c'mon King Ugly... Ultimately, it seems like more often than not lately we are getting ourselves in this situation... failing to win games that count during the regular season, and then having to go the hard way into the playoffs. We shoulda won the game against New England, AND Denver... Man, I am still boggled by that. We are like the kid who fails quizzes all year long and then has to score an A on his final to pass. We are too damn streaky and inconsistent. Sanchez goes on hot streaks, then he goes on cold streaks. The team goes on winning streaks, then on losing streaks. Seriously, look at our streaks so far this year: Win 2, Lose 3, Win 3, Lose 2... we never just lose one game then bounce back. The team stays hot or cold, there's a lot of reasons for that, but I won't get into that now.. The good news is, I believe we're due for a hot streak.
Even if they finish 10-6? That doesn't make much sense. Maybe if they finish 7-9 like Seattle did last year.
I feel a little better about the playoffs than I did in the aftermath of that disaster last Thursday. The teams they are going to be fighting with for the last spot are all flawed to say the least (as are the Jets for that matter). bottom line if they lose any of the games against the Chiefs, Bills, Dolphins and Redskins, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. As most have stated the only loss they can afford is versus the NFC teams....Giants are more beatable than the Eagles at this point, but both of those teams change week to week. Just beat the Bills this week and let's move along.
Seriously, we need to control the clock better. Long drives that end in scoring some points. When the offense controls the clock and scores our defense will provide the stop. Seriously, I want to see games where we burry teams, i.e. Week 2. But the previous posts are right. The offensive line needs to step up. No oline = no offense (9/10 times).
Next 6 Jets will win 3 to 4 out of 6 my realistic opinion Jets have: Chiefs, a can win Eagles, a most likely let down Giants, for sure a letdown Washington, a can win but something about the skins have the Jets # Buffallo, just right for the easy picking next week Miami, damn they play the Jets hard, a tough tough battle, Jets can't make a mistake The Bengals, Pittburg, Denver and Tennesse are in the wild card hunt. I see 2 of those teams making it for 2 slots. Pittsburg has the better chance. Denver is hot. The only way the Jets make it is win out(I don't see it) and for all the teams above to lose 3 out of 6 The truth is I don't see Divine intervention happining for the Jets as much as I want it to happen.
