Do people on this forum even like the Jets? I don't respond often because honestly I prefer to read and stay up-to-date with Jets info but lately it's been so irritating that I really wanted to speak out. I love this team and get as upset as everyone else when they play poorly but reading this forum you'd think the jets were playing like the Colts. People wonder why Cimini writes such negative Jets articles, maybe it's because those who don't like the Jets like to s**t on them, and those who "do" like the Jets like to s**t on them, it's smart! Calm down and think about if you really want to still be a Jets fan because honestly if I may speak for Jets nation you won't be missed, at all! Just Venting but it's really getting ridiculous, be a fan PLEASE, just be a fan.
I understand what you're saying. But keep in mind, the Jets haven't looked very good over the last few weeks. People are frustrated, and rightfully so. The expectations were high for this season.
Born and raised to bleed Green. There isn't any other team in the NFL I'd want to be a fan of then the NYJ.
It's like 2005 except that we don't have an egg back there at QB. Everybody remember what Chad looked like back there with no pass protection before he inevitably got hurt? For the record he threw 2 TD passes in 83 throws and was picked 3 times. His completion percentage was 59% which would be like 49% for Sanchez. The first 3 games this year Sanchez threw for 6 TD's and had a completion percentage well over 59% and then Mangold got hurt and everything went to hell in a handbasket.
So now I'm supposed to drink green-and-white koolaid while looking through green-and-white glasses on everything Jets? That's what it takes to be a Jets fan now? Jets offense has been literally SHIT for half a decade - and now I, as a fan, cannot even express my opinion about it? In a free country that is America, nonetheless? Which country are you from?
Everyone here is dying to finish what we started these last two seasons. And this team effectively became a long shot to make the playoffs because they lost to Tim Fucking Tebow. Were not Giant fans, we dont celebrate missing the playoffs.
No intelligent posts permitted. It is all Sanchez. Jets fans are not permitted to look anywhere else on the field but at the QB. It has been that way since Pennington lost to the Raiders in the 2002 playoffs. It is always the QB's fault.
They were created as legend has it, as a team to attempt to give Rob Gronkowski a challenge but nothing challenges Rob Gronkowski
I love the Jets. So watching these last 2 weeks has been rough. Rex has taught this fanbase to believe the Jets are the best. So 5-5 is not good enough.
You're a great poster and obviously not a problem. I do, however, agree with the OP that there is an abundance of people who will ONLY sign on and post when the Jets are doing poorly, and only to shit on the team rather than to look at what can be done now and in the future. There's an obvious time to be down on the team, and this is that time. However, the overreactions and absurd posts that are flying up at a rapid pace can't be dismissed as simply "not drinking the koolaid".
I only like them when they live up to my high expectations and then I cry about it like a little girl when they don't. And then I post stuff about being sick.
I live in Canada, it cost me $700 for two tickets, $250 for gas on the drive down, $475 Hotel 2 nights $70 for tailgate tickets $40 for shuttle to and from the game $80 more food and drink in the stadium $130 team merchandise for the son $250 restaurants for the 2 days $75 Cake Boss souvenirs for the wife 20 hours total driving = $2,070 = I'm a fan.......Jets lose to Patriots = I'm a fucking pissed off fan deal with it
everyone has to realize that most days people dont have time or care to come on a jets site and talk about how the team can get better or how why dustin keller needs to do a better job blocking down on a stretch play... they come on when they are pissed off because the team they like sucked a fat one. they want to vent, they want to bitch and complain and then they go back to their lives. and typically dont give a shit again until they need to vent. and in all actuality they make a hell of alot more sense than those of us who come here and talk about what this team they have absolutely no real attachment to needs to do to get to the superbowl. i mean honestly, if i am right or wrong about what the jets need to do with their full back position how does it impact the team? it doesnt. we are all here wasting our fucking time. they are just coming here to bitch so they dont have to beat their wife... or more importantly their dog.
This I loved Rex's first year because it was totally unexpected for the Jets to make the AFC Chamionship game. I loved last year because it was fucking nuts, from hard knocks up to footgate and beating down the pats in the playoffs. This season is sort of Meh because I expect the Jets to win and I expect crazy headlines and all I get is 5-5 and rex apologizing for telling some dbag to fuck himself.
Sometimes I want to pose the same question, but its clear we do not like the jets, we are overly obssessed with the Jets. All of us here have been through so much heartache and last second let downs, that our whole lives(for most of us), we have went "all in" with this team only to see them stumble and fall. Im sure I can speak for 90% of TGG'ers when I say that the NY Jets are much more than any other "team" we root for in any other sport. I for one am so emotionally invested in this team that I can honestly admit that I cried when we lost in the AFCCG last year!! It is very hard to explain but we only critcize and freak out because we want so badly to fix the problems on this team and have that ONE DOMINANT SEASON. We have never experienced a year when we kicked the shit out of our opponents, where we were the clear best team in the league, where we could truthfully say that we were going to win a championship. Even in Rex's era its all been very quick to come about and very unexpected (always being a wild card team). We as Jets fan's desire a consistency and a commitment to excellence as a franchise similar to how a parent demands the best out of their children. Theyre are definitely some darksiders on this board, but the majority of us want nothing more in life than for the Jets to win a superbowl. My post may be a little on the "soft" side but I have nothing but love for my NYJ, and unlike a "fair-weather" fan I will not sit back quietly while they fuck up and squander opportunities to be great.
