Correct,,,our OL regressed and its showing on this years play. Not enough time for plays to develop or allowing the running game to get established.

if we don't make the play-offs, Rex and tanny will have no choice but to fire schotty, the intense media pressure will leave them no choice. As fans, Schotty will have a bounty on his head when this season is done. Schotty will be gone and look for the Jets to potentially go after Peyton Manning. Chances of that happening are low, but it is a possibility. Tom Moore, Manning hmm

I believe Tom Moore is an unknown bc Peyton was his quarterback, I'm sure Tom is a brilliant mind, but that offense started and ended with Peyton.

We need someone who can game plan effectively (See us never scoring in the first quarter as our game planing) knows how to play to Marks strength since he is a rhythm passer, proven record of developing quarterbacks, and doesn't need Rex's oversight since he obviously wants nothing to do with the offense.

The QB coach from the Packers is interesting since he has had Arod since he was a rookie and Matt Flynn when he has played has looked pretty good.

I don't believe Schotty is all of the problem, but he definitely is a big part of it and its not play design, I think it's play calling the guy cannot call a game and get the other team off balance he ultimately is going to fall on the sword for this and the only reason he is still here is the last 2 playoff runs.

So, you totally ignore the Chad example. You write off the Favre example because he was a jerk. And you decide that because Sanchez is young, the OC can't deserve blame, or at least is undeserving. What a joke.

He's not leaving his perfect college football coaching job...

Im just hoping for either the Packers QB Coach or the Saints QB Coach

I've brought this up in another Fire Shotty thread.

Marc Trestman would be the perfect OC to help a struggling 3rd year QB.

Trestman has one of the most brilliant minds in developing a QB and running an offense.

Just doubt he would leave his HC job in the CFL.

i think he is open to the notion, he should just need an ideal situation. Montreal has a closing window with calvilho being so old.

that said, this aint that ideal situation.

It'd have to be 2 more years with Sanchez if we got another O.C and it did not work out next year. There will be a, "he didn't grasp the scheme right the first year, so he needs the second". After 2 years, if Sanchez isn't the QB, then scrap him.

But right now, he (Sanchez) needs to stay and Schotty needs to go.

No way. Ravens fans hate that guy more than we hate Schotty. Very similar complaints about the two of them.

Here is how I see it. Rex comes 3 yrs ago and brings 2 players with him. he takes a defense that was mediocre at best under mangini and converts them into the #1 defense in the league. The defense has been very strong every since. Shotty has been here for eons. He has one of the best OLs in football for the last few years, high quality WR and RB players and a young high draft QB with plenty of potential. The guy has NEVER sniffed a top 10 offense. If we get an OC that can do to the offense what Rex did to the defense we can punch our ticket. Until them the offense will be stuck in mediocrity.

Marc Trestman's Wikipedia article looks like a goddamn resume for an offensive coordinator job.

I think we can stop throwing Weis and Moore around as possibilities, neither one is likely at all.

Chances are it's going to be someone with a history with Rex or Sanchez or we'll try to grab a QB coach from one of the high-powered offenses. Promoting from within is a possibility but I don't think that's going to happen.

For the sake of discussion, I'll throw out this one: Steve Sarkisian? Would he want the job? Would you want him as our OC?

Trestman is an intriguing option. I've seen what he's done for the Montreal Alouettes over the last 3 years of so (2 championships in his 1st 2 seasons). He knows how to get the best out of his players, and more importantly, plays to their strengths. He's the anti-Schotty.
