What sucks is that all of the preseason worries came to a head. The slow front 7, Wayne Hunter (who can't be defended by anyone), the continuity with the WRs, the zero TE depth. Its all in front of us. The defense is being covered up by Rex's scheme. The offense, well, 6 years of total mediocrity has to get someone fired. A position coach, Schotty, someone has to be let go to show that this won't be tolerated. If Rex expects the best defense every year, can the offense be held to the same standard? Its like Tony Dungy in Tampa all over again. The defense had to be top 5, but the offense was allowed to be mediocre. The Jets need a 10 player draft, and it needs to be like 06 where the foundation is re-built. Too much age, to many JAGs. Hopefully these 10 days gets them the rest they need to beat teams like Denver and Buffalo. Mathematically they're still in, but its a mountain to climb in the AFC this year. I think they miss it due to tiebreakers, if they happen to have a 10-6 record with the AFC North contenders. Shitty loss, and its on everyone - Players and Coaches. The blame can be laid equally on everyone for thursdays loss.
