Sorry Cman I do not agree with your conclusions & what U posted. Getting to 2 AFCCGs & not cashing in is a terrible disappointment at least to me. This year Rex called us the best EVER & guaranteed us the SB which at this time is quite laughable at best. If we miss the POs which is a good possibility then the media will have a field day
I don't think it will happen but just wait if by some abortion of a game happens and Denver somehow finds a way.....then you'll have more negativity than you can handle. I think however the Jets should and will blow out the Broncos.
We're not headed for 4-12. That's why the negativity is subdued. Usually when we have a frustrating season it's a lot worse than this.
Well Champ, you've never been the most patient fan.. To some fans, those two AFCCG's buys some gravitas for both Rex and the team in general. They will point to those two defeats as proof positive that the team is going in the right direction and after all these decades of being shit on, they have a point. These same fans realize that Rex is just being Rex when he guarantees things or make outlandish claims as he does yearly. Kinda like a carnival barker in some respects. With all that in mind, Rex has to be given credit where its due. He's almost single handedly brought the Jets back from palookaville. For better or worse, people are talking about the Jets. The team gives its fans some real hope although Rex has raised the expectation bar a bit too high with the present personnel. That's why you don't as much negativity anymore Champ.
Well I respectfully disagree with U that the NYJs are moving forward especially this year. If you look very, very closely at the standings U will C that the NYJs are in severe jeopardy of missing the POs all together this year. if that occurs you & every homer (of which there are many on this board) will have to admit that we took several regressive steps bsckwards this season & the only type of talk U will hear is from the talking heads is negative talk about us as we flounder more & more. As for the 2 AGCCG game appearances that RR got us to he earns kudos for them but then he gets debits for not getting getting us past Indy & Pitt & as I said in paragraph 1 of this post he is now spiraling us down a slippery slope that will lead us right back to where we were several years back sorry to say, If U analyze our roster & look at the 30 year or older players starting for us right now U will see exactly where I am coming from when I say we are back sliding quite quickly in fact. To my way of thinking no matter where U lose if it is the SB or CG or Divisional Game etc your are LOSER & that is where we are as of last season when we again did not win the big one & right now U would have to say that this year is also looking like another losing year which will make what 43 years since we last won the SB I also do not consider this post negative I consider it practical cause I am not looking at the NYJs thru green colored glasses & drinking green koolade like 99% of the members do
LMAO Cman a homer................that is a good one. Do you even know who and what you are responding to? He is far from a homer. Unilke you the team doesn't need to be blown up and the majority of good starters are young but why let facts get in the way of a sour SOJF. This team is far from a huge decline but certainly can stand for a few upgrades and a bunch of depth players.
If U take the time to capitalize U why not just type you? Anyway, you say this is not a negative post but that anything but a Super Bowl is a losing season? Those standards are a little high in my opinion...maybe it's because you're running out of time. If the team plays hard for 60 minutes 16 times, they've given fans what they pay for and what they should expect. Our team hasn't done that. Until they do, they can f-off.
we're also facing a soft upcoming schedule. i think we all expect a quick turnaround. and it's not like we were playing bad before sunday's debacle.
Ur reading skills need a upgrade just like the NYJs. I knew exactly who I was replying to & the homer thingy was say for someone like U certainly not Cman
They will ALWAYs be the SOJs until they win another SB the sorry thing is that U & people of your ilk do not even realize that FACT
Sorry I don't subscribe to being a miserable old MF'er. Have fun with your ilk and please drink heavily.
Its nice we only have to listen to all the negativity until tonight. Dealing with it until sunday would be torture.
that is just a completely asinine viewpoint. by that logic the Lions 0-16 season was equal to the Patriots 16-0 season. I'm sure Lion fans don't think that at would have preferred the latter. on a more personal note, that would be saying Kotite's 1-15 season was equal to Parcell's 12-4 season. are you saying you feel the same way about losing season's as you do about season's when we reach the AFCCG? you indeed are a miserable sack of shit if you do.
To be fair, I actually felt worse after our championship game losses than after any of our sub-.500 seasons. Not saying I'd prefer the latter, but the pain of losing the big games lingers more.
