Rex basically said on his presser just now that we can kiss the division goodbye for this season. I understand we are in a hole, but ANYTHING can happen. It's unlikely that NE crumbles with them having the easiest schedule for any team the rest of the way, but I can't justify Rex for basically telling the team to SETTLE rather than STRIVE. Not cool Rex...
Hes obviously frustrated because we got in our own way the entire game. This should have been a game we win pretty convincingly but dumb mistakes and blown opportunities were what cause this game to crumble. Cant blame him for speaking the truth.
rex isnt saying anything untrue. I hate to say it, but the pats are simply not losing another game this year. Their schedule the rest of the way is a joke. They'll most likely end with a 13-3 record and obviously take the division. The jets can still make the playoffs but they showed today that they have many holes to fill and it wont be easy.
I didn't say he said anything untrue, but to basically tell the guys "listen, play to settle for a Wild Card" doesn't seem like the way to go about things. Whatever, we'll be lucky to even have a Wild Card spot at this rate.
Did anybody think that the Pats would have lost to the Bills, or Giants. It is very possible for them to lose another game a long the way.
good. and I hope he keeps his mouth fucking shut about Super Bowls too going forward. I'm tired of hearing about it if the team isn't capable of winning the division first.
even if they do lose one more. We still probably wouldnt overtake them for division lead. I fully expect us to be fighting for a playoff spot but that mite be out of reach this year if we play like we did today.
So after Rex makes his public declaration imploring other teams to beat New England, we end up getting swept by them. Division is pretty much locked up and it's not even December. This is not how it was supposed to happen.
He doesn't want to make the playoffs. He wants to spend his time on the important things, like being in Adam Sandler movies. He will soon be in the trash heap with Mangini and Pennington.
