    It's pretty bad when an undrafted Free Agent the Patriots picked up off the street 3 days ago looks like the best safety on the field.

    As it turns out I don't think the timout mattered that much - the Pats could have taken their last timeout and saved at least 10-15 seconds. It still was stupid, of course, and Smith is a complete joke.

    I still question traditing Lowery and keeping Smith.....Lowery was a much better cover man than smith and not much worse against the run.
