with everything falling right for the jets to take control of the division/conference, if the players can't get fired up for that I don't know what to tell you.

stafford has 19 tds to 4 ints prior to the game. that was almost aaron rodgers territory.

Considering the division they play in the Lions are really crazy not to have drafted at least one good OT...

Time out. Don't get cocky. Remember our D still has to stop them.

And you know... in terms of BPA it made sense to get Fairley... but with a guy as injury prone as Stafford and the emphasis on the passing game they took a big risk.

In their defense who could they have gotten? Castonzo maybe or Carimi but that's about it.

It'll come this offseason. Only so much you can do when you're that bereft of talent.

But throwing the ball 63 times in a 30 mph wind is smart, right?

Linehan gets too pass happy even when the running game works.

I like Mayhew, Schwartz I'm not so sure about.

Fairley was far and away the BPA when the Lions picked. He and Suh are going to ruin QBs for years to come, I loved that choice.

I can't see Detroit making the playoffs this year. Figure they'll end up 3rd in the division, with either Atlanta or Nola getting the other wild card spot.

I don't think they'll make it, either. It'll be a wasted opportunity, but the team just isn't ready, especially since Stafford is expected to carry the O.
