For all the talk about a passing league, the coaches that stuck to old school is succeeding more than anyone else
I was mad at SF for turning Bruce Miller into a FB, but after seeing him the last 2 weeks, they look like geniuses right now...
Eli his whole career has been like this. Up and down. I have to laugh at Francesa. This morning he was lazy and didn't want to do a segment, so they replayed a Coughlin interview from last week. And Francesa was going on about how Eli has nothing to prove, he's shown he's a big time top quarterback...
I don't like what you have to say because it's fucking stupid. You just called a team that could be 8-1 by the end of the day "mediocre"... Like I said in my response to your whiny ass PM: My opinion is better than yours.
The Lions are still a good team, I still think they play well enough down the stretch to make it into the playoffs. I don't know if Stafford and the passing game can carry them much further than that this year though - a major priority next year has to be improving the O Line. As we've seen here with the Jets this year, a good OL makes all the difference.
Gumbel doesn't know the rules on punts, so the other buffoon is explaining to him why it's not a turnover. Are these guys really getting paid to do this? Greg Gumbel doesn't know what an illegal touch is.
Detroit is an inexperienced team with absolutely no running game. I think the lack of a running game will crush them late in the season, especially because their defense can't seem to stop anyone.
And Eli does it again - a ridiculously perfect throw for the TD. It is amazing how up and down he is, not only from one game to another, but from one pass to another.
Why do u think we started turning around when we went back to our roots, ground and pound + awesome defense = great success in any level
Yeah, I know. And to prove it, just as I'm typing this Manning throws a TD to Nicks. But as the "experts" have started to argue this season is that Eli is truly an "elite" quarterback. To me, I don't think an elite quarterback should be forcing it to windows where there are four guys defending a receiver and telegraphing his passes. We'll, we will see, still lots of game to play.
Doesn't matter, but the 49ers receiver was lined up past the line of scrimmage. What an idiot. Edit: it was Braylon. Moron.
I agree, but I think they can beat Minnesota, Oakland, San Diego, and Carolina down the stretch to get to 10-6 and sneak in with a Wild Card. I think if they get someone to compliment Best in the mid rounds of the 2012 draft and focus on OL otherwise, they can patch the holes that are starting to drag them down on offense. As for their D, we'll have to see if they can tighten up down the stretch. They do seem to have loosened up lately now that you mention it.
