This is the biggest regular season I think ive ever seen as a Jets fans. Us 90's babys are to young to remember the 98 and 99 season. After thats its been Patriots domination. I never really have seen the Jets win the division or take over the division. The closest thing was that Favre Bullshit.(I dont want to remember that). This is a long time coming, and I feel a lot better going into this game then last years debacle.
Even when he wasnt practicing earlier in the week him and Rex were saying he was going to for sure play. Joe Mcknight and Pool were the ones that were doubtful.
Yeah, I still love that season. I remember thinking "this is going to be awesome. a battle between the jets and the patriots, two elite young quarterbacks in tom brady and chad pennington, battling it out for the division every year"....still mad Chad got hurt and never really got to reach his full potential, cause the man was one of the smartest quarterbacks I've ever seen. Oh well, alls well that ends well
I was 10 I think. As a 10 year old my interest wasnt into sports so much. It wasnt until I was 12 or 13 when I became very interested in the MLB and NFL. It didnt help that my parents hated Sports on TV, so I didnt grow up with football.
Went to my first two Jets games that year. The blowouts against the Packers when we found out that a win would take us to the playoffs, and the Colts shutout the following week. I'm still bitter about that Oakland game.
Best game i ever been to was when was back in 98' when the jets played seattle i mustve been 13. The game was big because it knocked seattle out of the playoffs nd it brought back instant replay where testaverde went for a qb sneak on 4th nd goal with seconds remaining nd didnt get in but they gave him the touchdown anyway cuz they thought the crown of his helmet was the ball goin over the goalline and there was a big pile up so they couldnt really see anything. That place was rockin felt like the whole stadium was shaking me and my dad were yellin nd we couldnt even hear each other great moment. I wanna see our crowd get to that level, im goin tmrw to the game tmrw nd i dont plan on havin a voice come monday. :metal:
Do all of us a favor who no longer live in NY or can afford to make the trip and make Brady's Ears bleed!
Is it telling that we weren't flooded with Pats trolls this week? I've only really noticed our normal Pat fan regular posters (and even MG was posting sparesly) and that new TX bandwagoner, but that's pretty much been it.
This game is huge, it's important. We have to put the final nail into the coffin of the Brady-Belichick era. I think we do it, because it's our time to run the AFC East with an iron fist and it's our time to win the Lombardi. We have to nail that casket down and we have to bury them deep below the cold, cold ground. I know this will probably be a close game, but honestly I want this to be an emphatic blowout victory for Gang Green. New England delenda est
I was at that game too! First Jet game I ever went to, I was 10 at the time. Remember that goalline play vividly. It was awesome.
I will never get leaving down the escalator after this game, it broke and started going down 3X as fast. There was a HUGE pileup at the bottom and I was like 10 and I'll never forget my dad goes "When you get to the bottom, RUN!"
