FBO - Wayne Hunter among leaders in sacks allowed http://www.footballoutsiders.com/under-pressure/2011/under-pressure-whos-getting-beat HTML: Sacks Allowed, 2011 Player Team Sacks Allowed Levi Brown ARI 8.5 Rodger Saffold STL 8.5 Jeff Backus DET 7 James Carpenter SEA 6 Guy Whimper JAC 6 Tyson Clabo ATL 5 Bryant McKinnie BAL 5 Will Rackley JAC 4.5 Joe Staley SF 4.5 Zane Beadles DEN 4 Wayne Hunter NYJ 4 Tryon Smith DAL 4 Jonathan Scott PIT 4 Jamaal Brown WAS 4 Jake Long MIA 4 J'Marcus Webb CHI 4 Orlando Franklin DEN 4 Marshall Newhouse GB 4 Not the worst in the league, but that's one sack given up every other game. Hopefully he improves down the stretch.
not surprised Roger Staffold leads the league in sacks given up. he's the reason Sam Bradford was in a walking boot and taken a beating this year
He has improved greatly over the last 2-3 games. I also noticed that he did really well against Cameron Wake. Last game, his run blocking was above average. The guy took awhile to get it together, but he is inching toward living up to his contract.
Hunter has looked like a different player the last four weeks, light years better than at the start of the season.
Interesting to see Jake Long on there, especially given he's by far Miami's best player. Speaks volumes about just how bad things are going for them,..
Not an overly negative stat. Other winning teams ( SF Det Ball Pit & GB) have players who have given up as many or more
this is useful, but also somewhat useless. i would like to know what game an offensive linemen was beat, who beat him, etc. 4 sacks is half the story in the beginning of the year. i wonder how many hits sanchez took from waynes side.
Or we could have titled the thread "Wayne Hunter tied with Jake long in Sacks allowed" Its jsut as mis leading to how he's actually playing and where he falls in the grand scheme of things.
It's Slauson over again. Weak start -sack this idiot, he's gonna get Mark killed- then he gets used to the game and he starts playing as good as the CS expected.
