However I don't think Cotch is like that... he seems like a very humble & good guy. Maybe he got pissed off at Holmes & Edwards complimenting each other every time always snubbing him. Or at the coaches... To leave 1 mill on the table you'd have to be mighty pissed...
Especially since he is behind at least Ward and Wallace in PIT. He was a #3 here, and likely a #3 there
I saw the deal he took with the steelers - wow - he must've really wanted to get out of NY. Some guys clearly buy into the rex model (like Holmes and Scott) and it seems others are not so keen (Cotch and Ellis), which is fine, we all know that Rex is not everyone's cup of tea and if you are not with the program then better to let those players go
they couldnt guarantee anything more then the 5th spot to him and he took it. they drafter 2 guys last year that played huge down the stretch and in the playoffs that they believe in. antonio brown and their starting cb mcfadden were gotten with the 5th they got for holmes
Maybe but from his comments and stance I never really felt like there was much love lost between him and the coaching staff
I think Cotchery over-played his hand and got burned. He thought he'd get more attention on the FA market than he did, and was forced to accept a vet minimum deal. He probably regrets leaving NY already.... As for his comments about leaving the Jets, I'm guessing he was answering questions and context was lost as is always the case with the media. No ill-will towards Jerricho. Good luck, enjoy watching the Jets shit on the NFL without you.

I have to agree with this, I don't understand the bitterness towards players who leave the team. Cotch was a warrior and a playmaker, I believe he is still talented to start somewhere. Honestly some of you guys are taking this too personal
It would appear 32 out of 32 NFL GMs disagree with your assessment. As a matter of fact it appears he couldn't land a role as a 3rd WR either and ended up taking league minimum to get out.
I have no issue with Cotch and wish him well, I just think that he's been a bit stupid and childish and is now paying the price. As jonnyd said so succinctly a couple of weeks back, it's laundry we cheer for. I couldn't give a shit about poor Jerricho Cotchery's irritated vagina one way or the other. Well played, sir.
Even though Cotchery was very shaky at times last year, I think his big, clutch plays were more than we're going to see from Mason this year.
Halfway through the season and Cotch has 4 catches for 54 yards. Either WAY we made the right call or he made the wrong call. Which one is it?
The Jets didn't really make a call, he asked to be released. They wanted him to stay.... He'd probably be producing as much as Kerley has been for us, if he were still here. I'll go with the younger Kerley.
