if it aint broke don't fix it.

    we stick with our gameplan.

i know its easy to say pass, pass, pass vs a 32nd ranked secondary, but overall their D is shit... we need to be able to run the ball vs whoever we play so keep a balanced attack like we've been doing, beat them up with greene and exploit their whackass secondary with our PA passing... should have another day where we spread the ball around to everyone just like vs the bills

Neither, we play Jets football. We pound the rock and grind down an already weak defence, make short high percentage throws, and take the big shots only when they're wide open. Ball security and frustrating Brady by making him sit on the sideline for long periods is the way ahead.

Roethlisberger and Manning both have the ability to take Brady on in a shootout, but I think it would be Brady and Belichick's dream scenario on Sunday if the Jets were to do the same.

The beginning of the season when we were 2-0.

sanchez wasn't terrible to start the year. he was terrible once mangold went down and the o-line was terrible.

but nonetheless, we should be running a balanced offense with power running and PA passing. clock control.

I fully expect this gameplan to look very similar to the playoff game. We need to be able to run the ball, and get our PA passing game going. thats when sanchez is at his best. If our OL can dominate their DL we are in great shape to win the game sunday night. If not, we can still win by flinging it around, but its not how we play ball, it will be much more difficult to do so

Do you seriously think Sanchez can keep up with Brady in a shoot-out?

well he did out play him in the playoff game. Its not like he hasnt shown that when called upon, he wont be able to deliver.

Sanchez and the Jets hit a rough patch when injuries hit the offensive line. No QB does well playing on their back half the game.

How did he do the last time the AFCE title was on the line?

I think he put up 3 points.

Again, Sanchez does not stand a chance if the game becomes a shoot-out, but I don't see the game going in that direction.

What was Brady's QB rating and INT's last week? Now look up Sanchez's numbers last week.

Brady is going to be facing a better defense this week, Sanchez is facing a weaker defense this week.

The other 2 times that we played the Pats last year, Sanchez had better numbers than Brady.

How did Brady do the last time the playoffs were on the line?

I know you love to think Sanchez sucks, that must be hard for you when he outplays Tom Terrific.

Agree that I don't see the game going in that direction, but how can you possibly say that Sanchez doesn't stand a chance if the game becomes a shoot out with the atrocity of a defense you're feilding. Take out the Baltimore game, and he hasn't played a subpar game this year. With the way we're running the ball, and pass protecting, I feel very confident if the game goes in that direction, but again, I just don't see that happening with our defense playing lights out.

if they were playing the same defense hell no. Pats defense is terrible, which at least gives Sanchez a punchers chance.

but if you look at my original post i said it would be much more difficult to win that way.

But as Mute said, Sanchez has outplayed brady in the past, and could potentially do it again. Am i expecting that? Hell fucking No. But would I drop dead in surprise if it did? No way.

It doesnt make any sense to say he doesnt stand a chance. Again, my point is he out played Brady in his own house in a Playoff game. That he did and this year he appears to be better.

And I dont remember why we got beat 45-3 .

So, based on last week's performances, you'd take Sanchez over Brady if the game becomes a shoot-out?

    Got it.

Did you watch the Patriots offense on Sunday? They're awful right now.

Hell, they've been on a steady decline since week 1.

I think last week's stats are more relevant that what happened 6 years ago when the pats had a decent playoff run.

I don't see a shoot out here. Long Jet drives with Brady off the field most the time. 24-14 Jets.
