I myself wouldn't spring for Uncle Jacks, especially after footing the bill for hotel and air along with tickets- I just wanted to let you know that it was an option. Appears that Badger might be the best resource for you from here on out.
I was thinking we'd eat in Manhattan on Saturday, unless we work out a way that we'd all go into Queens before going our separate ways.
I dont know the names of the places but theres a southern type place that has new orleans style food thats awesome and a little more ghetto, a bbq place that had aweome pulled pork. maybe badge would know...some restaurant across from ralphs ices thats
got real good food, good taps and good liquor. a little pricy but nowhere near the uncle jacks range. the new orleans type place may be called annie's. it was 5 years ago when i ate there. great jambo/gumbo. sorry posting from my shitty mobile phone.
Staying and eating in Manhattan on Saturday would be easiest for everyone....I doubt Scik would want to drive his rent-a-car any further than he has to.
Thanks for the advice, guys. It's very much appreciated. I'm going to start looking into food options. We'll definitely eat in Bayside on Friday.
Have you eaten at Bourbon Street, Badge? If it's any good, let me know. They have a Yelp deal. $15 for $30 of food, etc.
Do you suddenly feel as though the grimey "fog" has been lifted from your pending stay in NY, and that all is now well again?
Hahaha. I'll be honest, I didn't even look at the quality of the area. I asked a couple of people and liked the convenience to the subway. Once you generously offered to drive Sunday and the rest was pointed out, I knew I'd made a mistake. So, yes, yes I do. Thanks again
it's nice knowing we won't be running for our lives everytime we step outside our hotel. Thanks again, KOZ.
donovan's is one of the best places for a burger. Jackson Hole is always good for aburg. The place with the Southern stuff is Maggie May's. Bourbon St. isnt bad and there are a ton of Mediterrian/Greek places. I txted my buddy about that place by Ralph's.
I kept picturing Chinatown from Big Trouble in Little China in regards to Elmhurst. I was going to pack my 6-demon bag.
