Dilemma time - thus far my white Revis jersey is 2-2 (Jags and Chargers vs Raiders and Ravens) for the season while the green Sanchez is 2-0 (Dolphins and Bills). I like the Revis jersey better, but the Sanchez is on a streak. Might have to wear both.
I think if we can successfully/meaningfully/consistently defend the Pats' 10- to 20-yard pass plays, we'll be sitting pretty for a BIG win. J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
My dream scenario: We beat the Pats. Bills beat the Pats in their rematch. They end up tied 1 game behind us. We win the division and a bye. Buffalo gets the wildcard. Pats go golfing at 11-5.
yeah those poor Giants. Aren't the Patriots the worst ranked D in the league? I don't have much sympathy...
Wear the Revis to the tailgate, and when you barf whiskey and meat all down the front, the Sanchez will be fresh for the game and the win. Always glad to help.
Sanchez throwing picks and fumbling when under pressure is fairly common, although less lately,so saying unless turnovers win it for NE is a pretty weak cop out. Turnovers are part of the game.
He did not play in 08. So that leaves Brady's record against the Jets at Giants Stadium at 6-2 lifetime.
That would be great news, he's an important part of their run defence and they don't seem to rate the replacement (White?). I never understand why people say that they'd rather play the opposition at full strength, I'm much happier seeing my team beat seven shades of shit out of the opposing back ups than struggling against the first string. As Jerry Seinfeld said, my laundry beats your laundry. Or something like that.
Question to all... Do we play the way Steelers played against the patriots or do we roll the high pressure game like the giants? Steelers really dominated the game with its 50 passes in the game.
I wonder who Kyle will be matched up with the majority of the game. Gronk and Hernandez ? Welker ? Definitely gonna need another huge game from him if we want to take this Division
I'd think no way. We won't throw it 40 times even. We're not built like that. Probably more of what we've been seeing--run the ball, high % pass plays----ball control offense. Maybe we take a few shots downfield, (I'd assume given the state of their corners they play a lot of over the top help, so maybe not) maybe we throw a little bit more than usual, but I can't see a radical change in gameplan.
No way they depend on Sanchez winning the game for the Jets. I think we all have seen in the beginning of the season how it goes when they put most of the pressure on Sanchez.
