The 'fans' were booing them in the stadium at the end of the game too.

You make a good point. Sanchez gets very little credit from non-Jets fans for his last minute drive against the Texans defense. Eli does it against a terrible defense but because it's the Pats, it's a big deal.

They were booing with the Giants up 10-0 with like 8 minutes to play in the third as brady misfired on like 3rd and 6. Right after they booed, Ross dropped the punt.

I was laughing at them booing in a game the team is still in, after having won 30+ straight home games. What the fuck is wrong with that damn fan base??

I don't know.. they're still the Patriots with Belichick and Brady. Teams have figured out their bread and butter while the defense has struggled but that team will scare the shit out of me until Brady is no longer on the field. I think the Jets win on Sunday night but by no means will it be a blowout. Would be nice to win big, but I think the Jets squeak one out by 3 or 4 points.

The Pats fans know it's over at this point. And more to the point they know Brady was a one in a million find and so the Pats are going to have to find something else to become highly competitive again.

The Redskins, 49ers and Cowboys submerged after their dynasties and have not re-emerged yet 15-20 years later. It has to be depressing knowing that the great team you have watched for the last decade is about to be much less so and unlikely to get back there anytime soon.

Unless you find a Fave-Rodgers combo, that's what happens.

You go back into the general population of teams looking for the QB/HC/DEF combo to take you to a SB.

The Patriots time is over. The new era is upon us with Rodgers leading that crew.

Belichick says Haynesworth’s benching was “rotation-related”
    Posted by Gregg Rosenthal

We are so used to Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth barely contributing to the Patriots that it’s almost not a story anymore.

Ocho was targeted five times against the Giants. He didn’t have a catch.

Haynesworth, meanwhile, didn’t get into the box score. He was benched after blowing an assignment on a touchdown run by Brandon Jacobs halfway through the third quarter.

“We had a lot of defensive linemen active, so they played in different rotations,” coach Bill Belichick said Monday when asked about Haynesworth’s disappearance via Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald.

Pressed on the issue, Belichick stuck to the script: “It was rotation-related.”

Haynesworth went to the sideline after Jacobs’ score and talked about his mistake to Belichick, according to Rapoport. Defensive line coach Pepper Johnson and Haynesworth were seen jawing at each other.

Perhaps Haynesworth was just benched for his mediocre play. He’s consistently seen fewer snaps than guys like Kyle Love. Maybe the Patriots were trying to send Haynesworth a message.

No matter what the reason, Haynesworth is giving Ochocinco a run for his money as the biggest acquisition bust on the team.

In the article i posted further up in this post it blasts the Pats for poooooor draft pics, pointing out how several walk-ons blew the Giants game.

As a Jet fan, somehow I always thought Belicheck had like 5 first round picks every year guaranteeing continued dominance.

Belicheck grabbing Danny from the Jets as his featured RB and KO returner should have clued me in to how desperate those fuckers really are.

Are you serious ? Did you read this board of supposedly die hard Jet fans after your 3 game losing streak? The rats were scrambling to get off the sinking ship.

But I thought it was going to be an Eagles v. Patriots Superbowl?!
    Dream Team v. Dynasty.

Belichick is dealing with the other extreme with draft strategy, by trading down all the time + getting rid of all the defensive stars that carried him to titles = lack of talent due to lack of quality from draft classes, even their offense is lacking quality other than Welker and the 2 TEs.

They maybe a less talented version of the Indianapolis Colts

Looks like the Colts are going to do just that.

Lets be fair to Green Bay while they have stinkers in games on the defensive front, but they are capable of playing great defense. You have to play some defense in order to survive in the playoffs

This is still the Patriots and Brady is the most dangerous active QB in the league. Rawgiz is good too but he doesn't have the experience TB has so you have to give him the nod.

I won't crown the Jets kings of anything unless they pull out the win this weekend.

I would say I am cautiously optimistic for Sunday night.

    no way.

sorry, it's not even close right now the way they're playing. Brady is a statue. Aaron rodgers can take off and run any time and escape pressure. he also has better weapons.

aaron rodgers is the most dangerous QB in the nfl, and he hasn't been making mistakes

I don't think a win this week-end gets us any "Crowns" and could up up hurting if they have a let down.

If they win this week-end, (a big if because I dont see New Eng going down easy in the face of a prospective 3 game losing streak), it still won't mean anything if they lose to the Broncos or the Bills on Nov 27

I think the Jets need 12 wins to clinch the AFC East
11-5 won't guarantee anything, at least that's the way it looks at this point

Very true. Our fan base is not the picture of optimism when we lose. Hell, we're not the picture of optimism when we win either!

dude i can say for a fact that we have booed sanchez and the offense earlier than that, in games that we were still in, because of terrible play.

We all know our fans boo anything we can. Since forever. So calling a fanbase out on booing their own is not the smartest thing for us to do.

We have talent across our offensive line (maybe not Connolly, but he is serving as a backup to Koppen), we have a top QB talent, Welker is a top WR talent, and our TEs are both extremely talented young players. You are basically saying that our RBS and #2 & #3 WRs don't impress you. That might not be an ideal situation, but it isn't the condemnation that you make it out to be either.

As far as I can tell the Pats have beaten 4 quality teams (Cowboys, Chargers, Jets, Raiders), which puts them right up there against anyone:

Ravens also have four (PIT x2, NYJ, HOU).

GB has four (NO, CHI, ATL, and SD).

Jets have three (DAL, SD, BUF)

Giants have beaten two (BUF and NE), three counting PHI.

49ers have two (CIN, DET), three counting PHI

Bills have two (OAK, NE), three counting PHI.

... no other team is even close. You can point to a downward trend for that Pats if you want, but IMO two games doesn't mean much. Not everyone here in NE is giving up on this team as you think they are. It is just media hype coupled with "SKY IS FALLING" type of fans that leaves you with that impression.
