Sure, Alabama will be a big favorite against Auburn (and deservedly so.) But there are no easy games in a rivalry as heated as the Iron Bowl, especially when you have to go on the road.

Along the same lines, LSU should be able to beat Arkansas but it's far from a guarantee. The Razorbacks are a good team, and they will be playing for a spot in the SEC title game if LSU can win tonight.

LSU and Alabama are clearly the two best teams in the nation IMO, but college football is a crazy sport and the SEC is an especially crazy league.

I know he was under pressure, but Jefferson needs to give his receivers a little more time to get open before tucking and running. If you have no chance of running for the first down anyway, don't be afraid to let routes develop and take a sack--after all, you're in field goal range either way.

Tie game. This is gonna be a great finish.

I can't see either of these teams slowing down after winning this game. Like you said, these are the two best teams in college football.

The SEC winner will play for a National Title. Whoever wins this game will steamroll their way to that game. The East is so weak this year - Florida's bad, Carolina is beat up, and Georgia is inexperienced.

    That's what he does. He's a gimmick player that's labeled a QB.

Put an experienced signal caller on either of these teams and that would be a huge difference. Both of these offenses are led by garbage at the position. It's amazing how successful both have been with such mediocrity at the position.

Just give Trent Richardson the Heisman already.

Unbelievable. Talk about never giving up on a play!

That said, I think the ball will stay with Alabama.

That was a hell of play by Eric Reid.

I don't think Williams had possession before he hit the ground.

don't like the play-calling by LSU, but it works out as Maze can't move or something and Wing gets a long punt

What a huge mistake by Maze. You have to catch that ball.

    Yup, you're right.

Just an unbelievable effort by Reid to chase him down, knock the ball out of his hands in mid-air, and secure the ball on the way down.

This is uncharacteristically conservative playcalling by Miles and Kragthorpe. There's no chance of running the ball for a first down on 3rd and 6, you're just giving it away.

Why do you put in a punt returner who has one leg?

Running three times was the smart move. Miles can't trust either of his QBs to throw the ball that close to your own endzone.

wasn't just that they ran it, it was that they ran it three times straight ahead into the line.

It's a tie game. You gotta score.

They've been playing a really weird conservative style of football all year long because Jarrett Lee limits their passing game.

That type of shit can't work against Alabama's defense.

Alabama's always played a ball control offense, so I'm not surprised with the play calling I've seen from McElwain.

You saw where they were though. You're not going 99 yards on this defense.

They were protecting the football. It was very conservative, but it was smart. You don't want to give Alabama anymore points off of turnovers.

That was a terrible mistake by Mathieu. He let his emotions get the best of him on that one.

    What a dumbass penalty.

The way LSU's offense has played, that legitimately might cost them the game.
