Come on Catt County.. why do you continue to soil the beautiful enchanted mountains with every ridiculous post? Losman could do ONE thing and ONE thing only.. throw it far and straight. Everyone knows this.. he would be 8-18 for 75 yards and and 2 INT then get his one good play.. 68 yard straight pass. Finish the game 9-19 143 1 TD 2 INTs.. Bills lose 24-10 but bills fans like you would point to that one long pass and say the stupid shit you said this whole thread and you continue to say. Give it up he sucked and everyone outside of Catt/Chaut/Erie county knew it then. Tell everyone at Reid's Foodbarn I said Hi... GO BONNIES!
I didn't say he was a good QB. I said he had a good year in 2006 for a young QB. He never developed beyond that. Maybe he could have with better coaching, but IMO Dick Jauron's play-not-to-lose-by-too-much philosophy of taking no risks would have made Peyton Manning or Tom Brady look mediocre, so we'll never know. The coaching and talent around a young QB have a lot to do with whether he succeeds. Sanchez had a better team around him his first two years, and seemed to be developing well. However, he seems to have hit a wall this season. IMO that's on the coaches and the FO. Neither Ryan nor Schottenheimer seem to trust him to do shit -- and your GM screwed him royally by swapping out Cotchery and Edwards for Burress and Mason. Kerley might be decent but it generally takes 2-3 years for WRs to reach their potential. Maybe Sanchez stalls out and becomes an expensive bust like Losman or David Carr or Joey Harrington. Maybe he succeeds despite the handicaps of coaches who don't trust him to play and a crappy WR corps. Right now, nobody really knows which way he'll go. Hell, you can't always even know if veteran QBs are gonna be good from one season to the next. Who would have thought that Phillip Rivers would have 7 TDs and 11 INTs and that Ryan Fitzpatrick would have 14 TDs and 7 INTs at the beginning of November? Hindsight is always 20-20. Foresight, not nearly so good.
He'a already accomplished more in his first two years as those guys combined in their entire careers. And I'd hardly think Holmes, Plax, and Kerley are a crapy WR corps. You're just straight trollin' homie.
The question is, will Sanchez get better in the future or remain a QB with some serious flaws? He does have some serious flaws BTW, skippy. Nobody's confusing Sanchez with Aaron Rodgers -- or even Cam Newton. How do you judge a WR corps except by the yards they put up? The Jets passing game has racked up 1454 yards (#24), but only 675 have come from their WRs: Holmes 22 for 311 Burress 18 for 243 Kerley/Mason 14 for 121 The Bills WRs have racked up 1677 yards (#13) with 1130 coming from their WRs: Johnson 39 for 439 D. Nelson 31 for 366 Jones/Roosevelt 24 for 325 The Jets WRs have put up less than 60% of the yards that the Bills WRs have made. They account for less than half of all of the Jets' passing yardage whereas the Bills WRs account for 2/3 of their passing yards. If the Jets were a great running team, those numbers might be okay. However, they are ranked #28 in rushing yards, picking up 647 yards in 7 games (92 yards a game).
you judge them by being an educated fan and evaluating all the factors, including how many pass attempts, how many targets, what type of passing defenses they're playing, are they playing from behind with soft coverage, etc. As well as evaluating the whole body of work of the receivers, not just a skewed 7 game sample size. or you can just have no clue what you're talking about and go by "yards". i guess you choose option B, because you never seem to know what you're talking about
question for you Catt county are you going to bail out and run away after the first thrashing of your Bills by the Jets on Sunday or hang around and bail out in a few weeks after the repeat thrashing of your Bills by the Jets at Jet Life Stadium the Sunday after Thanksgiving... Just in case it's the former Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and start thinking April Draft for your Bills
Buffalo's that CFL team we let in to say that the NHL and baseball aren't the only internationally hosted American sports, right? JP Losman? lolwut?
   I know exactly what I'm talking about: "educated fan" = "excuse-making homer", Skippy. There's also nothing "skewed" about the "sample", either, since I just took the games from this season. It doesn't matter how good these guys were four or five years ago. They're playing games in 2011 not in 2006 or 2007, and the fact is that 54 passes for 675 yards in 7 games and less than half the yards for the 24th ranked passing team is just plain sucky, no matter how you try to spin it. Your WR corps sucks monkey balls this season. Fact.
You mean we are getting our own forum back? Again I find weird that Fisto is about the only decent Bills fan. He has come a long way. It's like the downs syndrome kid that learned the alphabet.
Save yourself the time. Go back and look at all the finfans that stayed after game 3 last year. Look up deathstar, he is the only one, isn't the forum blessed?
