i'm very happy K Dub has is having the season he's having. If he showed some of the struggles he had last year, most of this board would be screaming about a wasted pick, and being serious. He's going to be a monster on this team if he continues progressing the way he is this season. I know he has family on this board and i'm sure they're very proud- rightly so.
I feel so vindicated. I'm not sure if I argued it thaaat much on this site, but with my friends who are Jets fans over the past year I have been defending Wilson's play at the end of the year last year, and vowing that he will be an improved player this year. I was saying I didn't want them to re-sign Cro because I thought it was a waste with us having Kyle, and we had other holes. I'm having fun shoving it in their faces every time he makes a play. He's a good player.
He's improved heaps this year. No way I'd have wanted him at #2 starting this season but if he continues he might be ready for it next year.
In todays NFL you need 3 talented CBs... glad to know we have them (if only Cro was more consistant). I wonder what we could do with a proper FS... (criticinza Smith, not Leonhard).
Same here man. I have a couple Pats fans and they laugh at me when I tell them I'd take Wilson over McCourty in a heartbeat. In due time, I'd guarantee he becomes a better CB, and its already starting to show.
no. like me, im sure, hes interested in trading for that mccourty guy of the pats. i hear he gets a lot of interceptions.
I don't want to sound like a homer here but if Kyle Wilson keeps progressing at this pace and Cro pulls his head out of his ass the Jets could have 3 top 10 CBs on the roster going forward. Give Rex a good pass rusher and a safety in the draft and the D goes from very good to legendary.
So much praise to put on the D across the board yesterday, feel like he got lost in the shuffle, but once again Kyle looked solid. All I heard all week (and for many weeks) is how we're so exploitable over the middle. Nope. Plaster coverage and great tackling. Can't wait to see how they use him next week to cover Gronk and the Oompa-Loompa brigade.
