    Was it? It seemed pretty obvious what they were doing.

    Run the clock down and instead of throwing it all the way down the field, throw it 15 yds down the field to get in fg range. If it get picked its irrelevant

    It was terrible clock management.

    First off, you call timeout rather than let SD run 30+ seconds off the clock.

    Yeah that was dumb. But I don't think what they did after that was too terrible. It was pretty obvious that they were satisfied going in at half up by 7 and didn't want to risk it.

    That Todd Haley is special - every other coach runs plays without ever practicing them, and makes sure that the guys executing them have terrible hands, dontcha know.

    I can't believe this idiot is going to be doing games for 5 more years.

    Bill Simmons described Rivers better than anyone else ever will: "Rivers seems like a guy who spent a lot of time yelling at his butler when he was kid."

    On another note, why the hell does Gruden keep calling Matt Cassel a winner? Cassel has literally never won a single thing on the high school, college, or pro level.

    I used to think that Gruden was intentionally heaping unnecessary praise on every team so he could keep his options open for an eventual return to coaching.

    Now I'm starting to think that he has realized how little preparation he needs to do to keep this cushy job, and he just doesn't give a fuck anymore.
