Its week 8 and while we all need to argue about something, lets take a look at some team records after week 7 in 2010 Giants: 5-2 and being talked about as the best team in the NFC. Finished 10-6 Seattle: 4-2 and a big hype in the NFC West. Finished 7-9 Titans: 5-2 battling for 1st in the AFC South. Finished 6-10 Texans: 4-2 battling for 1st in AFC South. Finished 6-10 Oh, and most notable the future Super Bowl Champions, GB Packers were 4-3 scraping out a win.
Barely. Both have 12-6 td int ratios. Mark has played 1 more game but also has 2 rushing tds. He has also had to deal with 0 run game for the first 5 weeks and a terrible O line without Mangold in Baltimore where he basically did nothing. There is more to QBs then numbers and Mark has proven that he can win and lead a playoff team. Fitzpatrick has been nothing more then a backup and lets see what he can do playing a full season. Also theres more to football then the QB position and Fitzpatrick is no Tom Brady so you are still going to need to play at least average on the other side of the ball and so far your defense has been awful.
Here we go ahead Mark can lead a playoff team. Lol so can Trent Dilfer. Did you ever think if we had a very good experienced qb maybe we would have won a Super Bowl or are you content with some playoff wins. Fitzpatrick is better than a backup. He did well as a starter last year. He is at worst an average qb.
I agree completely. Sanchez is the better QB overall but Fitz is in the better system and clearly has a Gailey is better then Schotty. But Im eager to see how our defense will come out after the bye. Hopefully someone has emerged as a pass rusher. I'm not concerned about the run defense.
Like Brett Favre? Mark Sanchez had nothing to do with either of our AFCCG losses. Both games our defense only played 1 half. And yes after years of no sucess in the playoffs I've been very happy winning 4 playoff games in 2 years with a rookie HC/QB and sophomore HC/QB. Takes time to develop a great QB and Mark might never been a top 5 but he has shown more then enough for people to be confident in him to win big games.
Oh for sure Buffalo's offense has played much better but Im still confident in the Jets winning because either Buffalo sells out to stop the run and forces Mark to win the game airing it out or they get run on like last year. I think they will stack the box. Jets are coming off the bye and will try to run it but if the Bills stop them early they can beat the Bills secondary. Our D also matches up well with Buffalo. Revis on Stevie and sell out to stop Fred Jackson.
Obvious troll is obvious. Trent Dilfer and Mark Sanchez should be enough of sign that he is not a Jets fan.
Sanchez got destroyed on his blind side. That was a bad play but its not what lost the game for us. Sanchez is the main reason we almost came back to win it.
He should take full responsibility for fumbling the ball, you must hold onto it. But how about the defense missing 11 tackles in the first half? If the defense shows up for either AFCCG, we win at least one of them. That fumble would mean very minimal if the defense could have gotten a stop in the first half of the Steelers game and kept us from being down 17 - 0 (before the fumble).
If he did not fumble and the defense gave up 17 points for the whole game that should be enough to win. To say the defense is to blame for giving up 17 points in a game is beyond me.
But stats and qb ranking do not matter when your qb is in the bottom 10 we ignore it. We only focus and give him credit for carrying us to 2 AFCCG appearances.
