LMAO Ingram and Richardson are different types of backs. Ingram has that smash mouth style I wanna hit you before you hit me type of guy. Richardson is a change of pace juke side step type of guy. Both are great in their own right. But let me ask you this if Richardson is there and there's not 1st round worthy OLB/ILB/S/RT/WR do you take him? I'll take him and wont look back
Alright, I didn't want to do this yet, but... You know nothing about football. Mark Ingram is certainly a physically gifted kid, but his vision is what makes him so good. Pound-for-pound, Trent Richardson is probably the strongest player in college football. ...and you're trying to say that he's a change of pace back? Epic fail. GTFO. He's not going to be there unless we have a top ten pick. Richardson is one of the better running back prospects of the last decade or so.
How the fuck do I know nothing about football Richardson is a change of pace back in the sense of he has crazy moves and cuts and breaks down defenses very effectively http://youtu.be/HGS0xw6x3BY Ingram's running style if different and yes he has great vision http://youtu.be/CiRANeAUn38 2 completely different running styles both are feature backs And my point is the best teams in the NFL tend to have Elite QB's(Rodgers, Brady, Manning(when healthy), Brees and Roethlisberger 5 of the last 6 Super Bowl Champions while the Elite Running Backs barely do anything. Chris Johnson 2,000 yards and then what, Arian Foster lead the league in rushing Houston did nothing. Adrian Peterson is the best Running Back in the league and his team sucks. While a guy like Ryan Fitzpatrick has his team in the playoff hunt even with a suspect defense. Point is teams are looking to build a stout defense. Get an elite passing game with a solid line. And a running back who can just be effective enough to keep the defenses honest. Green Bay won the Super Bowl with an average D that really was only good at making plays and not getting consistent stops and an average run game. So if we wanna be smash mouth I think we need a more consistent Running Back and I think Trent Richardson could be that for us. And the next time you wanna say I dont know shit about football at least have some back up. I think I made my point
Back up: You don't know what a change of pace back is. You don't know shit about football. More back up: You claim the Packers won a Super Bowl with an "average" defense. They were #2 in scoring defense, #2 in sacks, #2 in INTs, #5 against the pass, and #5 in total yards. You don't know shit about football. Even more back up: You think Ben Roethlisberger is an elite quarterback. Back in '08-'09, Big Ben threw 17 TDs and 15 INTs, plus he fumbles 14 times losing 7 of them. ELITE? You don't know shit about football.
Change of pace as in not a north/south runner I'm not saying he's Reggie Bush change of pace but he's not Adrian Peterson smash mouth The Packers defense is horrid Total Defense(27th), 3rd Down conv. rate(26th) , 1st downs per game(23rd) dude they almost lost to the Vikings and Panthers and their running game is ranked 23rd also which shows you the passing game is the taking over the NFL so thats what teams are looking to build towards. and Ben Roethlisberger has 2 Super Bowl rings and your interceptions numbers dont mean shit Bret Favre is the All Time leader in INT's and is one of the GOAT's Ben is a top 5-7 QB in the league * EDIT...a direct cursing out personal attack*
Adrian Peterson is on another level with his running you cant compare them. AP is bigger stronger and faster. AP is a 100 million dollar Running Back............Trent Richardson is not
You basically said that because he has crazy moves and can break down a defense he's a change of pace back
He also said that Green Bay's defense was average when they won the Super Bowl and then when I called him out for it, he used stats from this season.
You do realize the Packers SB defense is different from this year's? Look at the Jets run defense- statistically they were the 3rd ranked rushing defense last year and are now 26th. Your argument about them losing to the panthers and vikings are irrelevant not only have the packers defense changed, but so have the Panthers and Vikings offense. And you are comparing Brett Favre to Ben Roethlisberger. You say Favre leads the NFL in INTS, but he also leads the NFL in Tds... Ben Roethlisberger is averaging worse than 10th in Tds since 2007. Oh yeah, if Trent Richardson isnt a "ground and pound" running back prospect in your eyes, who possibly is?
I caught that, if your gonna be worng, you may as go for all the way worng. It makes it funny that way instead of just sad.
Fuck Ricky Sapp, the Jets could have gotten Jerry Hughes at the trade deadline. https://twitter.com/#!/ChrisWesseling/statuses/129672790218522624
