Nick Toon isn't valued as a Round 1 prospect. I've heard some talk, especially with the "Ring of Fame" stuff yesterday, Rex is intriqued on the possibility of drafting Nick Toon. All just probably small talk, but worth keeping an eye on. Toon's stock has been rising and the Jets could target him in late/mid rd 2.
One thing brah, Tom savage transferred to Arizona before the season. They had chas Dodd starting but I think he's hurt. FR-QB Gary Nova (who they like a lot) took over and hit Sanu 10 times for 128yds and a TD. Sanu has been the one constant in that offense and he's so strong and is pretty fast.
Where do you guys think Broyles moves to with this ACL tear? With the time table it doesn't look like he'll wow anyone predraft, so maybe he slides a bit and we can pick him up in a later round? Haven't seen him play, but is he a #1 type to put across from Santonio? The dude puts up some impressive numbers and plays so good defenses too.
We always talk about how these big athletic tightends create major miss match problems. What if we were to grab a great blocking/catching tightend to compliment Keller who is one of Sanchez's favorite targets? I think it would add a much needed dimension to this offence.
Im all for drafting a Top tier tightend instead of a receiver i would love to bring that mismatch to NE
Thats what im saying, Sanchez excells with Keller, imagine two athletic tight ends opening up the middle of the field, id like to pick up a TE in the 2nd round.
The TE class in this draft is one of the weaker in history. We shouldnt draft one until round 4 or 5 and even then It might not be worth it. A TE like Carlson in FA is what I myself would prefer for this team, solid blocker, can catch the ball, and wont cost much at all. A rookie TE is not the answer until late for this team.
