Same here. I don't know what's going on with Rivers, but something is clearly wrong--he's one of the best QBs in the league, but he couldn't get anything going yesterday (and it wasn't his only stinker of the season.)

The key play in the whole game was Revis's interception. I know it was a tipped pass and it came right to him, but we've seen players fail to make catches like that. Revis seems to always be more aware of what's going on, and takes advantage of opportunities like that. Then of course he runs down the field, putting the Jets in great position. Given Rivers's tendency to throw INT's this year, I hoped we would see him turn it over to the Jets, and that play there was awesome.

Seriously why are people pissed at Norv? Rex started the war of the words. Its not surprising he fired back after what Rex said. Intentional or unintentional.

Its not surprising that norv attacked rexy, but it was a stupid move by norv and now he gets to eat crow on it. maybe next time this mediocre at best coach won't be so quick to lash out and talk smack. he chose to do so and blew up in his face. The Jets used his dumb commentsattacking Rex and Francessa's idiocy attacking Revis to rally together in support of each other and smash the chargers.

glad we finally decided to throw it to plax in the redzone...

if iw as the jets OC, id have sanchez throwing 200 fade routes to plax every day in practice.

Oh for fuck sakes...not this shit again.

You're determined to really show the board how severely uninformed you really are. It's sad.

Do you even know how "trashtalking" works?

I think Hunter is playing better is just as important as Mangold health. The thing with the O-line is just one breakdown and they all breakdown.

Rex put his foot in his mouth as evidenced by him calling Norv to apologize. Norv responded with a good zinger. That's about the only respectful thing Norv did this week.

this is very true. Hunter has played very well the last few weeks. He struggled against Shaun Phillips some, but he held his own. I was actually quite pissed how many times John Connor seemed to be getting beat yesterday in pass pro. The Keller TO being the most evident. Connor popped spikes, and then kinda released him. Spikes hit Mark, causing an errant throw, and the rest was just ugly

And then norv went out and proved once again that he is a hack and somewhat incompetent as a leader and a football coach. so maybe next time instead of going after a HC who has been to 2 straight AFCCG, norv would be smarter to let it go and do his talking on Sunday. But nope, thats not how norv rolls...so he leaped at the chance to talk smack to Rex and then he got his backside kicked.

Apparently a few here are more interested in making excuses for norv's decision to go after rex directly. I prefer to mock him for his poor decision to trash talk coupled w/his team getting beaten convincingly in the 2d half. Out Coached and Outplayed. Way to Go REX !!!!!

Keller needed to fight harder for that ball and Sanchez needed to do a better job of delivering the ball regardless of Spikes. Its not all on Connor - he didn't follow through on his block, but that TD is not simply on Connor.

I don't see why anybody has a problem with what Norv said. He could have just said it doesn't bother me because everybody knows Rex talks a lot of shit and that probably would have been wiser.

The point he made is very valid though. Rex needs to watch what he says when he's doing all the smack-talking because if the Jets can't back him up it's going to get old really fast.

When Rex is blowing off steam about how good the Jets are, well that's understandable and part of his shtick and all that. When he turns it around and starts talking shit about how other people aren't so good he's stepping over a line that will trip him up real fast and the Jets along with him.

I was glad to see Norv come back at him.

Not sure there is enough time for that even in the offseason...

Rex shouldn't give them a week off this season. The players were "off" (locked out) this offseason...They need a few practices during the bye.

Edit: Rex says in todays presser players are off until Sunday night...

Norv decided to run some smack at Rex and its not a question "having a problem w/what norv said" its about the fact that norv likes to talk the talk but he and his team can't walk the walk.

You are right Br4dw4y he probably should have taken the high road, but norv isn't too swift and so he decided to take a little dig at Rex.

He didn't make any valid point, Rex doesn't need to watch what he says and Rex certainly doesn't need any advice from norv. Rex is a better coach than Norv is. It isn't smack talking if you back it up. and BTW rex really doesn't talk smack - that is mainly just media BS and hype. Rex believes in his team and in himself - that isn't talking smack its being confident and showing leadership. Yes he said something dumb which he obviously didn't mean in an off the cuff moment - Norv chose to take the low road. But the problem Norv has is that he isn't as good a coach as Rex is and Norv's team got rolled.

I was glad to see Norv get stuffed and sent back to the left coast eating crow.
