Sanchez's Completion % would be higher. That Raven game really killed him in terms of that.

Schitty actually called a good game this week. Give credit where credit is due. Hope he could be more consistent though.:jets:

Completion percentage kinda sucks but Sanchez is sporting a 12-6 TD to INT ratio which isn't bad...puts him on pace for ~27-14 which is pretty good considering the new receivers and no offseason preparation.

In seriousness.. Sanchez's stat line after today for the season is this:

    129-231, 55.8%, 1,545 yards, 12 TD, 6 Int - 83 QB rating

Without the Baltimore game it would be:

    118-196, 60%, 1,426 yards, 12 TD, 5 Int - 92.3 QB rating

Obviously you can't just say oh without one game, blah blah.. but without that 1 game, the perception of this guy would be so much different this year. But one game without your All-Pro Center against an attacking defense with Haloti Ngata crushing Colin Baxter on National TV, and everyone wants to take their shots at him.

Actually, that statistic is not bad, although at times, Sanchez looked bad. NEway, hopefully, in 2 weeks, JETS will be 5-3.

There were a few times today where Sanchez threw it away. And when he took the sack at the end....he may be figuring out the best play sometimes is no play at all.

I really don't understand people dismissing this point. The Jets have played 7 games, and in 6 of them Sanchez's aggregate performance is exactly what everyone was saying he needed to do this year. He had one horrifically bad game against what is probably the best defense in football when he was playing behind a Pop Warner offensive line. Anyone who is still claiming that he is not an NFL quarterback simply has no clue.

The interception was also a really good play by Weddle. Granted it was still a poor decision but Weddle faked inside coverage and then broke to the outside right as Sanchez was delivering the ball.

It was the same type of coverage that the Texans blew last year when Sanchez hit Braylon deep to set up the GW TD.

They had been talking about one of the flaws of Weddle is that he reads the QB's eyes. He locked right onto Sanchez and broke for the ball. Ball was not poorly thrown, just wish that Sanchez beat him at his own game. He will get there. As he grows and gets better, he will toy with players knowing this type of information.

And if the team didn't suck a dick in the first half against the steelers, wed have another superbowl appearance. Who cares? 2 days ago Sanchez was awful and now he's amazing. Some of you guys are pretty fickle!

Personally, I think Sanchez isn't very good. He's pretty mediocre IMO, or at best very inconsistent.

    I agree.

it's an easy thread to poke fun at....i felt inclined at first (and knew it would receive this type of overall response) but it's a valid point.

that game was not on sanchez, and as a whole, that one game has blurred the public perception of what's actually going on

He is 24 and in his 3rd year of the NFL. If he was a QB in AZ( insert small market team) and performed the way he has over the past few years, people would be excited. And rightly so! QB's typically take a few years to develop.
