Wilson made a vast improvement between the beginning of last year and the end of last year. He was good in the playoffs, but not this good.

Props to him. I've been a tough critic of his but happy today he did well.

    Thanks for the love

Hello. I'm an avid reader but just decided to post. The progress you see stems from hard work. Training with Revis was a great opportunity to learn from the best, but a couple of weeks should not overshadow the months of training on his own.

I'm not allowed to post the June article on jetsflightdeck but if you reread with a new ear you will hear.

    I'm the silent deadly brother

IIRC it was just a hit on Rivers.

    But yeah, he's playing great.

Agreed, let's not give Revis all the credit, Wilson improved on his own time as well.

Kyle Wilson is becoming one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL as we speak

Let's not get too carried away, he is covering #3 receivers.

In time I could see him getting there, but calm down just a bit.

I agree. Understand that kyle trained 'with' revis. There was a third party training both of them. Kyles improvement was gained thru hard work, not osmosis. Great win today.....

    Go jets.

So, does it run in the genes? Can either of you play safety?

last year at this time, the "experts" all agreed that the 2010 draft was a bust for Tannenbaum...

Kyle Wilson drafted first would clearly never be as good as McCourty in Sucksboro and was a bust

Joe McKnight drafted in the fourth round was an even WORSE busts who we never ever should have kept and let a superstar like Danny Woodhead get away

    Ducasse was also a bust

so all we got from an entire draft was John Conner and he was still a backup to T-Rich

    fast forward 12 months

Wilson has become a terrific young defensive back who plays just about every down and the only time you ever hear about him is when he does something GOOD like todays key pick

McKnight is the primary kick returner and is developing into an excellent running back (who will replace LT next season) complementing Greene, a nice pass receiving option and a part-time defensive back

Connor is the starting fullback and delivering crunching blocks regularly

    and

Ducasse has progressed to where he can even get on the field for a couple of plays without screwing up

Congrats to Kyle. He keeps on improving week in and week out this season. He's only in his second year, so the sky is the limit. As long as he stays a student of the game, watches film, and stays glued to the hip to Revis then his third year with a full off-season should be wonderful for the JETS.

As far as last season, Kyle's problems were due to Revis getting hurt and Kyle being thrown into a game day situation he was totally unprepared for.

He trained as the slot DB, then wham...he owns half the field opposite Cro.

Vince, Kyle deserves to get the credit for all the hard work he has put in this offseason to become the player he is today. But I don't really think it matters whether it was Osmosis of being near Revis, or if their mutual trainer is the best CB trainer in history, the fact is Kyle is quickly becoming a truly excellent player and Jets fans should be ecstatic he plays for us, and not some other team.

why 28 teams passed on your brother nobody will ever know, and at least 20 of them will be damn pissed he isnt on their roster in the next couple years.
