Wilson has been much better this season from his rookie season, He looks to be coming on pretty good. Nice Job!
Nice job by Wilson today, looks like he actually baited Rivers into that throw. If so, great work for the second year man.
Wilson has been non-existant all year. Which means he's been doing his job. He's really improved, nice INT today.
Ironically, some guy at the bar said, "You know Kyle Wilson has to be doing well because we HAVEN'T heard his name yet," just as the ball was being snapped. Great job by K-Dub. Hopefully one of many more to follow.
Wilson was following his man on the play Revis switched with him and said take Jackson Rivers said ok Jackson off the Island and BAM he gets picked by K-Dub great execution by Kyle and a great switch by Darrelle
I'd say he's emerging more strongly and I guess the coaches saw it early, allowing them to let Lowery go (and perhaps even influencing the decision to let Coleman walk as a free agent).
Lets not get ahead of ourselves - he was awful last year. Slowly got better as the playoffs came around, but nowhere near as good as he is now. Amazing what an offseason and Darrelle Revis can do for you.
He was awful early in the year. He played better down the stretch, and was invisible in the playoffs. As in never saw a pass his way, outside of the one that hit him in the facemask in the AFCCG. Very few people took note because they were very down on wilson and we had other things to be more excited about. This year he has been dynamic, all over the place, and has been on his man like glue. He is infinitely better this season than at any point last year, but he started to improve a year ago, now its just becoming obvious to the general public how great he has been.
The playoffs count as last season, so he was good dating back to last season. He had one terrible week... Week 1, his first regular season game. Then he struggled in the middle of the season, got benched, came back, and had a good rookie finish to the 2010 season. I'll be more specific -- dating back to week 12 of last season, he's been doing well.
Coleman being let go was due to Wilson taking his role, but I think I remember it Lowery's release being about him being able to start in this league, and the Jets acquiring a pick.
