You cant be serious. Listen..as a Yankee fan..and any Yankee fan that cant admit this is full of shit..the treatment he has for the Yankees and the Mets are completely one sided. That interview is like fans calling up 10 times a day and asking Mike over and over "Hows Parcells...what happened between the two of you...How is Bill doing...." You have to say enough is enough and as a radio host..just move on. His hatred for the team gets in the way of him interviewing any member of the front office and coaching staff because his ego is so fucking huge that he feels he has to be a total asshole so nobody can say that he went soft. He does this to the Mets all season long..and as a Yankee fan the truth is he treats the two teams completely different. Incredibly, besides playing shitty baseball and having a ton of front office problems, the Mets do not even give him reasons to disrespect them. The Jets on the other hand give him the miles of material. Blame can be put on a coach that continues to predict Super Bowls year in and year out. A coach that cant get out of his own way when he opens his mouth. I love Rex...but cant help thinking that he will either get his Super Bowl in the next couple years...or be at the podium holding back tears explaining why he was released for something he has said or done. Regardless, whether us Jet fans want to admit it or not, they play right into the Fat Fucks hands a bunch of times. As a minority team in the Metro area, he is able to get away with it..but barely. If the roles were reversed and his hatred was towards the Yankees and Giants...THE FAT BASTARD would not even have a job and would have been fired a long time ago. But he is smart enough to know that like running for president, he only needs to get more votes than the next guy. Picking on the Mets and Jets is safe. If you really need a list of things he has said about the Jets to prove this point...nobody has that kind of time on their hands and I cant take your post, with all due respect, seriously with a statement like that. Not sure where you have been the last 2 or 3 years.
Its not that he tried to be an ass hole. He honestly has a serious problem where he always needs to be right. And thats where all of his arguments lie. Him being right.
Im not doubting his need to be right at all. Its a borderline sickness. My point is that worlds have collided for him and the Jets. His need to be right and hatred for the Jets in what is perceived, by him, a lack of respect by the team towards him. Those two potent pills have been mixed and it exposes him..and deep down he knows it. His high wire act of being a flat out egotistical asshole and still appearing that he is the one taking the high road fails him because of his hatred for the team. He has locked himself in and cant get out...especially now that one of the best players in the NFL has joined the list of people that hate him. Im sure this is not the way he wanted it to play out. He always had an out with Revis stating that he is great...he is great...see..Im complimenting a Jet!! Revis is incredible! He will continue to do that but it doesnt play as well for him knowing that the guy he is complimenting thinks he is a fool. EGO..EGO..EGO. This is a problem for Mike. I just hope I dont hear DR on the show Monday yucking it up saying it went overboard. I hope it stays just where it is now.

To be fair, he's gotta kiss ass with someone as far up like Mike to get farther in the company. He's on a 1 year deal I am guessing so he's going to have to pucker up and not be Anti-Mike. Alot of what Francesa says on the Jets is fair and accurate takes on the game but its his condescending tone and speaking that is what turns it down. It becomes to a point where he enjoys talking about the Jets fallies and likewise it seems like its become an instant lock that whenever the Jets are in the wrong in his eyes, that he feels the need to divulge hours upon hours bashing the Jets. He was even counting down the Rex Ryan press conference at 2:30 as a means to hype up something in case Rex says something he disagrees with. Mike legit spent 2 hours on Rex Ryan/Norv Turner on Thursday to end the show. Why not take the time and watch hockey with no NBA in sight and the Yanks/Mets gone? Its going to be football and hockey at this point anyways once baseball is through... (Then again knowing Mike, he will spend hours talking about where "Pooholes" goes in the Winter) Point being, its one thing to give an accurate response to the game. No problem or fault with that at all. Its another to milk it and really continue to beat down the point to the callers where it becomes tiresome and annoying.
Somers is my favorite talk show guy in the area. He makes me laugh, he hates the Yankees, and is far from being full of himself like Fatty.
I know there ratings are great, but Carton just gets on my nerves after awhile. A better alternative to Mike and Mike. I hate how Carton will ask questions from a guest, and within a few seconds, interupts them. Very similar to Fatty. When I said dragging Boomer down, I meant to his level of childess humor, which on occasion might be OK, but all the time gets boring and predictable, like Howard Stern.
