Jenkins facebook status right now is Wow. I never realized I hurt Mangold's feelings. I LOVE THIS JOB ROTFL!!!!!

Wtf is wrong with him. What kind of leader could you have been in the locker room. You say we have problems in our locker room and now you are trying to cause more. I can't believe how I went from loving to hating this guy.

as he was last week, only now everyone has switched sides and hates him for it. 2 weeks ago it was great info but nobody wants to hear it anymore. i understand what he is doing i am simply pointing out how opinions change so drastically over a few weeks.

Maybe if he was on the field for more than 1 quarter a season, he woulda had an opportunity to copyright something.

Has anyone thought about Jenkins being correct, and its tough shit that something is wrong with your favorite football team?

    Anyone?

It's more difficult to take when he isn't just taking shots at the guy everyone hates.

He is starting to put some of it on the players, however vague, and suddenly he is a know nothing. Bashing schotty and he is the smartest guy in the room.

He is likely correct on both fronts, one opinion is just much more popular.

seriously folks... is this guy any different than the experts in 2010 bemoaning the loss of Jet leaders like Alan Faneca, Kerry Rhodes, Jay Feely, Thomas Jones.... et al

the only diff is that the spokesman for "lost leaders" turns out to be one of those who lost his multimillion dollar paycheck after spending two years on the IR contributing not much

at least the 2010 crowd weren't promoting their own selfish interests like Jenkins is now doing

Let's see. We have Jenkins who could not stay on the field with 2 - count em - 2 ACL injuries. Did he really expect to be brought back? And why is not "leading" another team? Same with Woody. Woody retired because he could no longer play on his bad knee. As for Ellis - he is done. 7 tackles in 6 games. He barely plays and is not even coming close to earning his money. Same with Cotchery. He can't even get on the field. How can these players lead when they can't play.

The Jets have plenty of leaders - Scott, Revis, Leonhard, Tomlinson, Mangold, Brunnell etc.

Leadership doesn't open holes for the running game or turn drops into catches or improve the play calling.

The Jets supposedly lacked leaders last year also. How did that work out?

Look - I don't think the Jets are going to challenge for the division title this year. They may earn another wild card spot. But this year has exposed some personnel weaknesses that should be fixed in the off season. OL depth. A RB with speed. A WR with speed. A new OC. A safety that can cover a tight end. A pass rusher. Sometimes you need to take a step back to take that step forward.

    The problem is not leadership.

haha yep. He was "big Jenks" when he was ripping schotty. He was the man. He was the one who knew a million times more football than everyone on this board combined. BUt now....ahhh well now hes just a big fat cunt I guess? hahaha hipocrisy at its finest. And its even better considering who the OP is. You know, hes one of the geniuses on this board who thinks the ONLY thing wrong with this team is Schotty.

I agree with a lot of what you say but how could you POSSIBLY know without being in teh lockerroom whether or not leadership is a problem?

If Francessa spent 4 hours bashing Schotty, 90% of the people on this board would all of a sudden love him.

As I said earlier I laugh at anyone giving jenkins shit for this.

He was the best leader on that d. Always saw him taking players aside or calling out his teammates to step it up

Bart scott iis just a mouthpiece u need in addtion to a true leader. And I don't see one on our d. The closest one would. Be leonhard

Furthermore jenkins injuries were freak accidents where he got tangled up just right

Everyone wants to throw dirt on our best defender of the last decade not named revis

Because he knows the team and locker room better than anyone here and isn't giving the jjets a rimjob?

This team needs more leadership than a sanchez fluff article or a cbs flmed pregame speech from LT or Revis.

There's a lot more under the surface than rexs bravado and the new culture we all love. Ppl jus don't want to hear it

    BRAVO!!!!!

As #######'s trip over themselves trying to point to some faux hipocracy...

Every year people #### about leadership... When you win they say you have it, when you lose you don't...

Heck, after a few games people on the radio were going nuts about the Giants lack of leadership - they pull out a few games and these "Leaders" are suddenly all over the place....

    Puhlease.....

So, you're saying that a recent player could know more about the inner workings than dudes that spend hours a day on a team fansite ?!?!

    IMPOSSIBLE

I'm not agreeing with everything Jenks has said, but for people that don't see that there are issues (whatever they may be) that weren't there the past couple of seasons need to play less fantasy football.......

hopefully they get everything sorted out soon.
