Yes, for Luck and another 1st rounder.

    Otherwise, hell no.

If Luck is the real deal, supposedly he's grades out like Peyton & Elway coming out of college, then you can trade Sanchez & a first rounder & still have committed highway robbery.

No but I'll happily trade McElroy for a 1st and a 2nd in three years.

Not really. The Bengals get a #1 this year that will probably be in the teens or twenties. Then if the Raiders win a playoff game they get their #1 next year.

I don't think I'd do that. Plus it's a totally different situation. Palmer wasn't coming back to the Bengals, and Dalton is more than capable. Behind Sanchez we have nobody, and we're a "win now" team.

At the end of the season would I take 2 #1's from a team picking in the top 10 for Sanchez? Sure.

Sanchez is not Sanchise. It's Year #3, and he doesn't even play with the poise of McCoy or Dalton. Of course, blowing up the WR corps in 2011 didn't help him, and it should be easier to find a Welker and a 2nd fast TE than a franchise QB. I don't think Sanchez will ever carry a team, but he is serviceable with strong support around him. Franchise QBs are rare - just look at the previously annointed Bradford in 2011. Sanchez is probably closer to Alex Smith - a serviceable field manager with the correct coaching and support.

Let's wait to see what he turns out to be first. Sanchez is improving, but he continues to make mistakes

Have you been watching any games this year? I think its time for a lot of people to realize that Sanchez is Trent Dilfer 2.0.

Yea, let's trade the franchise QB that we picked at #5 who's done nothing but go to AFC championship games in his first two seasons for a couple of draft picks. Smart strategy

It would honestly depend on the picks (i.e. could we draft a potentially better QB with one of them)...but in all likelihood, the picks wouldn't be low enough as that team would just pick a franchise QB with their first rounder as opposed to trading for Sanchez.

Plus, these are different situations. We have no one to replace Sanchez, while Cincy has Dalton.

In all, No...I wouldn't do it.

My answer is an obvious no. But andrew luck will be better thaan sanchez. Don't think anyone would debate that.

Its hard to judge his development the way the rest of the offense is playing

But he does continuously miss throws that a franchise qb must make.

If this was the offseason and the Jets had a serviceable QB, you would have to do this in a heart beat. I believe the majority of this board is overrating Sanchez's current skill / future potential.

Having said that, it's the middle of the season and the Jets have no one near the caliber of Sanchez on the bench. There is no way I would do that deal if I'm the Jets.

The one that bothered me most was the pass to a covered LT when Keller was wide open right behind him, how did he see LT and not Keller?

To your first point, Luck isn't part of the equation because anyone in line for the #1 overall isn't trading it. We're talking mid to low #1s, Sanchez was #5 overall and it cost a bunch of players and picks to get that.
