Plax has sucked so far. I think he is a huge reason the pass game has faltered. Having Edwards really opened up coverages for others.
Plaxico is sloooooooooow. And if he's not catching the ball, he's pretty useless. This is where we miss Jerricho/Braylon; we have one WR who can make plays and catch the ball. Plaxico will get every opportunity to make plays, but he has not looked good. Hopefully, Kerley or McKnight step up. LOL at post above.
Is it me or did it look like Plax was pouting on the bench prior to the series in which he caught his first pass. I also thought his body language was a little weird after the catch. Does he not know he sucks?
He was definitely pouting. I don't know what's up with this guy. I had pretty high hopes, especially after he looked good in preseason, but so far he just seems to be regressing. Very disappointing.
The dude has been folding laundry and avoiding gang rape in the shower room for the past three years. He's playing against world-caliber athletes as opposed to a JV squad like some of you guys might think. I personally expected him to only get into a groove around mid-season or so - possibly later. As long as he and Sanchez develop chemistry by the time the playoffs come around (assuming the Jets get in) I'm happy.
Also, he got hurt in preseason and missed most of the conditioning program. I agree, lets see how he's performing in november/december.
You are right. There is just zero separation. On the deep ball to him, first he looked either uninterested or just realized that he had no chance of beating the d back. He's old, slow, and can't catch. In my book that makes for a great wideout.
I've done more for the Jets writing on TGG than Plax has on the field. That 3 million would have changed my life!
There is a deadline today at 4pm. what should we try to trade for? I say a experienced OL and a deep threat WR.
Can't trade. Picks with the rookie wage scale are at an even higher premium. If they dump picks they are back round picks, so the player they get won't be that impactful.
I agree with the OP, he seems extremly slow. I don't think it's matter of him working him back in shape, he has lost a step. He is only effective from within the 20 where he can use his size.
Looks almost as if he's just going thru the motions out there instead of having his heart in it. The drops are getting on my last nerve and I'd like to think that Rex and the OC are wondering just when this guy is gonna start earning his money cause right now, he's stealing it big time. Tanny really fucked up this offseason as outside of the Holmes resigning, his personel moves have gone totally to shit.
