If they keep that level of play - they won't win 2 out of the next 3. But, a win is a win is a win and that's what counts right now.
A team that could use him skills he's more fit for a zone defense anyway as he gets his ate tore up if doesnt have legit safety help. He's a play maker for sure the thing is Rex's defense is designed for a play making safety in the secondary ala Ed Reed and shut down corners which is why Aso was the 1st choice and why Wilson could eventually replace Cro as the #2 corner if his play keeps up and Wilson is a better tackler. Like I said tho it all depends on if we get a play making safety and a new consistent nickle back
I really can't stand Trent Dilfer. All the nitpicking he did on Mark showed playes where receivers were covered. I'm also really tired of hearing Rex immediately go into "protect my coordinator" mode. I just wish we stop pussyfooting around the obvious.
Rex's press conference is pretty funny. Ask about Holmes and Moore being captains, "it was just a coincidence"
Rex's defense isn't designed for any certain players, he designs the defense depending on the personnel he has available.
Well he still needs that guy for the rest of the season. Bashing him would do nothing positive. It would make the relationship bad for the rest of the year AND hurt the onfield performance even more...
It took Sanchez almost an entire half to realize that Miami was getting no pressure on him at all and that he didn't have to fire the ball out to short guy immediately. Even in the 2nd half he missed an uncovered Keller in the EZ that cost them 7 points and killed a drive with a bad pass to Kerley on plays where he had a perfect pocket and all day to throw. He didn't make any mistakes that really hurt the Jets but he was "okay" at best in almost optimal conditions. Plax is awful though.
Burress is garbage. Even after he made a catch he was shaking his head. Also hate the pre mature revis and Holmes stride into the endzone
yeah, he doesnt like Sanchez. Hinted that before the game and after. Though Sanchez was off on some, the receivers were covered well so he would either throw it high or away. He also checked off for the most part when one was covered and threw it elsewhere tonight.
All defenses and offenses are designed for specific players yeah coaches have to adjust and so do players but if you ask Rex would he rather have Cro, a play making CB who is average at best in coverage opposite Revis or Aso, an elite shut down corner opposite Revis tell me who he'd choose. Imagine Revis and Aso shutting down each team's WR, Wilson taking away the slot receiver and an Ed Reed type roaming in the back field making plays while we have a legit SS making plays against TE's. That's Rex's ideal defense for his scheme he just doesnt have those pieces, yet
