I had one of these the other night, I stole the pic off the net because my wife took both our cameras on vacation but this is a tamago burger from Fukuburger. Patti, grilled crunch onion, yum yum sauce, American cheese and an over easy egg. I ordered mine with miso glazed bacon as well. [ Throw in this was taking the orders... Wife has been out of town all week so 2 Fukuburger nights and In and Out for dinner last night and again for dinner tonight!!! Dam shame she'll be home tomorrow.
Tell me more about these two ingredients. I'm imagining the onion is cut thinly and coated in some sort of batter and grilled/fried?
I love to grill/saute the pineapple ring and then dunk it in duck sauce before I put it on the burger. I think I may have posted a picture of that earlier in this thread. Edit: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=1175534&postcount=278
yep, that would have definitely made the difference to my Burgin today, that and a slightly larger slice of bacon would have earned them top marks. The rest was flawless.
Are Pastrami Burgers common elsewhere? They're pretty popular around here. There's a local chain "The Hat' that makes one worth going out of your way for... The best topping for any burger is alternative meat.
I've had roo before, I like it. Ostrich ain't bad either. My next exotic meat will be antelope if I can find a place in Vegas that serves it. Yes, the onions are grilled but batter dipped . Probably similar to those you'd find on top of say a french onion soup. The Yum Yum sauce is a mayo based sauce likely with some paprika, cayenne and I'm guessing tomato.
Not quite a burger but IJR took me to The Oinkster in Pasadena/Eagle Rock for pastrami .... that was absolutely amazing.
Visually it isn't doing any for me. All those meat flaps and creamy liquid. I like a degree of architectural order in my burger construction.
Yeah this is just a snapshot. The creamy liquid is not liquid, it's melted cheese. It's hard to admit this but pastrami on a burger trumps bacon on a burger. Maybe not for a faggitecht, but for eating.
No shit... that was some dam good pastrami. It was 3 years ago and I still talk about how good it was every time I see or talk to IJR.
Oh right. I could never get used to the amazing yellow colour achieved by American cheese manufacturers/pharmacists I do like pastrami. I just can't imagine finding something like this here.
Doesn't do anything for me either. The cheese looks like shit and the sandwich is a mess. I think cleaning it up and maybe a little less pastrami and a larger burger would do the trick for me. Visual appeal. No one wants to devour a great burger that looks like a heap of shit.
Im going to try something new today: Hamburger patty seasoned like an italian meatball Roasted garlic cloves spread on top of the burger Topped with a heap of mozzerella A small amount of Marinara sauce on top Turn the hamburger buns in 2 homemade pieces of garlic bread I guess I will call this one the "Italiano." We'll see how it turns out.
you should call it the "Jersey Turnpike" because it sounds like it's tailor made for a guido, and it will probably taste like "ass".
I was thinking along the same lines. Add a couple of anchovies and it would smell like Snooki's snatch.
clearly you guys are brainwashed by Jersey Shore. Italian food is amazing, and currently im scarfing this burger like a champ. It's fantastic.
