Wilk would be used as a rotational DE if Mathis comes over. Mathis/Dixon-Pouha/MTV(Or Ellis)-DeVito/Wilkerson would be the unit. Wilk is finding things tough vs LT's in year 1, if he gets eased in more games he will catch up to the speed of the game.
Ah that's a good point too. I do have questions about Mathis standing up though....he might get lost in the shuffle ala Mario Williams(Pre season ending injury).
He's garbage against the run as well, so really he'd be a 3rd down specialist. Pass rush hasn't even been a glaring problem this year, it's been the run D mostly. I'd rather not give a pick for him.
I am impressed! Not often do you see someone making www entries using only the cocktail glass of a Las Vegas prostitute!
Hence why our WR core has been shit along with Sanchez's development with WR's. We have gone out and gotten old and veterans, who are stop gap players. The only recent one's who will be here long term are Holmes and Kerley. After them, we have no one. We cant keep going out and paying way too much on FA wrs, or at least thats what we would do this up coming year as you say. We need to draft a WR for the long run, like Kerley, and have him develop with Sanchez instead of new people being brought in "year in and year out"
Robert Mathis is going to be 31 before next season. On top of that, this is his walk year. So if it doesn't work out are we just going to re-sign him to the big contract he's been looking for and just hope that it pans out? I'd rather have the 4th round pick, to be honest. At least that player would be guaranteed to be on the team for at least a few seasons.
