    The obvious answer is yes...

But at this point with the Jets, I can believe it

Sign Matt Turk. Conley has been OK, but we have the cap space and we could use this guy's big foot in our field position game.

    @AdamSchefter
Edit: Nevermind. "Through five games, Turk's punts netted 32.8 yards, on average, good for 30th in the league. And Football Outsiders ranks the Jags' special teams 28th."

Upon review, I agree. However it's worth noting that our punter is averaging only 3.1 yards per punt more than that dogshit.

^As have I. My friend that has Sunday Ticket is also a HUGE Jags fan. We both got a good laugh at how defeated Del Rio looks because he knows this is his last year. Frankly with how shitty of a job he's done and the lack of success he's had I'm surprised he got this far. Aside from Beli and Reid he has the most tenure in the NFL.

Don't really have a place for this, so I'll put it here:

Aaron Curry has been traded, but his new team hasn't been reported yet.

John Conner's nothing special. Kinda hurts to say that, because I want him to be, but unless you have outstanding blocking instincts, you need to be able to catch the football and hold on to the football if you're going to play a dying position in the NFL.

I'm rooting for him as hard as I've ever rooted for any prospect, but T-Rich's heir he is not. I hope he improves. I'd like to see Polite come in, he gave Bart a few hard knocks a couple years ago.

Tony Richardson wasn't anything special early in his career either. Neither was Lorenzo Neal.

Duly noted. Like I said, I hope the kid improves and turns into a dominant fullback. But consider that it's not the same position it was in the early to mid 90's.

You know, while we're on the subject of ol' T-Rich, I really haven't read anything about his absence, but now that I get to thinking about it, this offense really misses Mr. Richardson.

I'm not blaming the fullback position for the mediocre rush offense.

It seems like our interior lineman have been struggling with run blocking.

Moore and Slauson are both having less-than-average years.

The stability that Nick Mangold provides in the middle will hopefully change things quickly.

Actually, I was talking more about pass pro. When we passed out of the I with Richardson on this team, it freed LT up to be a receiver. Now, he's the only back I trust to block for Sanchez.

You can't blame the fullback position and I wouldn't suggest that T-Rich should be on the 2011 Jets, but when your interior linemen fail, it's beneficial to have a veteran standing in between a large, charging fat man and your franchise.

I think signing a player like Lousaka Polite or even Brandon Manumaleuna is such an obvious move for this squad.

Manu-Manu has experience at fullback and tight end. He'd be a nice jumbo-sized pass protector in the backfield.

...can't understand why our front office hasn't made some moves to protect Sanchez.

I don't want to start a new thread because I'm not positive I actually heard this, but I swear Schefter just said on ESPN that the Jets and Colts are taking about a Robert Mathis for a fourth rounder trade...

It was a segment on trades that make sense, not trades that are happening.

whaaaaaaaat? I dont think this team is good enough to win the Superbowl with our WR's.

I think I would still give up a 4th though... Dunno. I wouldn't want to lose him the next year.
