New Spygate Staring the Jets?

  1. Seriously...from the simple fact that when Spygate happened, before 2008, defensive coaches were signaling in calls, and when this happened, 2011, those calls are being sent in via radio, that alone makes this a non-story.

Just that fact alone makes the two apples and oranges, but those either dumb enough or blinded by the Pats-colored glasses will never see that.

Dude don't even begin to talk about rules favoring one team over another. Your team gets every call regardless of whether it should be a pass interference or not. Also your team cheated and there were no consequences against your team. And don't say that losing a draft pick is a big consequence. If the team knew what plays were coming by signals that is cheating thus allowing players to jump routes and pick passes off.

  3. There are no signals to steal anymore, on either side of the ball. Geez...want to find out what the other team is calling? Hack into their headsets. That's how you do it. These days, it's the only way to do it.

Which I'm honestly surprised hasn't happened yet.

  5. Not hacking into, but rather interfering with...

  7. It happens occasionally, but ironically almost always at key moments.

1st off, the Patriots did not tape any practices. Even the guy who was looking to bring them down admitted it never happened.

2nd, they were not stealing signals to help them win the game. It was one of those cheap cameras that has a cassette in it. And they handed them in to the staff after the game. They were taping coordinating them at a future time with defensive sets to study tendencies. 99% of teams change signals from game to game. According to football insiders, what the Pats were doing was just a more efficient version of what all teams were doing.

3rd, this is a nothing story. The Jets didn't do anything. However, I do like the way some on here panicked and started making excuses before anything was known for sure. Also a nice touch to throw out other teams supposed misdeeds and how the Jets are always screwed over by the refs and the league and all media.

No doubt in my mind that if it had been reported that it was a guy on the Pats sideline, people would be screaming for BBs head.

The fact of the matter is, spygate was blown out of proportion. The Jets or any other team could take that footage & use it for illegal purposes.

As for the defensive signals only being sent in by radio? Not true. Home teams frequently have to use signs or hand signals due to noise.

You can't blame people who got defensive or 'panicked'. The accusations were ridiculous. He's wearing a highlighter for a jacket and is holding a camera the size of a large dog. How someone points to that pic of him behind Brian Schottenheimer as evidence that the Jets were filming signals or whatever is absolute idiocy.

it sure felt like it did in last years AFCC game where Sanchez's headset just so happens to die when we enter the redzone.

Overreactions to a non-story. Actually the non-story originated from a Pats forum. Let's not cast stones.

That's interference. I mean straight up hacking where you can listen in to what the other team is calling.

Not casting stones. Just amused by the reactions.

Now they're talking about how the Steelers screwed the Jets over last year, which also has nothing to do with this non-story.

I'm sure by tomorrow it'll be all Dolphins talk... which is where the focus needs to be.

Florio, meanwhile, can say to NBC, look at all of the sheep who believe my every word with no facts to support them! Look at how I drive traffic to PFT with my made-up stories!

    He's scum.

Yea, you guys aren't going going over the bend on this... If it were Jets fans who had a photo of a guy with a camera over BB's shoulder, the reaction would be just as bad here, if not worse.

Actually the agenda for tomorrow is Tom Brady's New Gay Photo and Thursday we'll be talking about Hey Nnamdi We Coulda Been A Contenda, but you can bring your Dolphins talk if you're interested on Friday.

Spygate was kicked off by Meadowlands security at halftime confronting Pats staff in the tunnel.

Clowngate was kicked off by clowns on the internet crying to Florio.

    Learn the difference.
