So.. we've had fans complain about Shittenheimer forever.. but we are all crazy, right? Then we've had former players complain about the offense, (Namath, Woody, Jenkins, Clowney) all within the past few weeks. Saying it's predictable, bad play calling, etc. But they don't know what they're talking about right? Then we had Holmes complain. Still people defended Shotty. Then LT complained and said how predictable they are. Still people here defended Shotty. Now all the receivers went over Shittenheimer's head to complain to Rex Ryan AND leaked the story so it's known how much they hate Shotty's system. What is the excuse now? When does it end with this guy? He fucking sucks. Everyone knows it. I don't know why people even consider defending him anymore at this point. He's bad. He's not "average" or "not bad, but not good".. He is bad. He is hurting this team and holding the offense back. Whichever player said they have to grind for everything and nothing is ever easy is 100% correct. They struggle to gain every single yard they get because of a ridiculous offensive system and retarded play calling. In this day and age in the NFL where teams fling the ball all over the field, why is Shotty incapable of putting up a respectable offense. It's a damn joke.
At least at this point its blatantly obvious that barring Sanchez winning NFL MVP this year, that there is no chance whatsoever on any level that Schotty will be back. And in the incredibly unlikely scenario that we actually dont make the playoffs this year, almost guarantees he would be gone well before the Superbowl.
+1 as well. Schotty has had numerous chances to prove himself. The old excuse was that he had a different QB every season.....he can't hide behind that anymore.
It's probably time to dump him. I don't want it done mid season though. I hate coach firings like that.............
he is absolute dogshit we are on pace for a little over 100 yards against the nfl's worst defense statistically
First down was a fake dbl reverse screen pass, second down is a fullback dive. You will not see another team do this in the NFL besides us.
honestly, im seriously doubting rex's ability as a complete coach if he is going to let schotty take a shit out there again this week against our biggest fucking rivals.
They got back to their identity, and all of the sudden the offense looks the way it should. What a fucking surprise. I hate Schotty's philosophy so much. I fucking despise his wanting to open this offense up. This is an old school, run it down your throat, control the clock offense, and he didn't want to run that for the first month of the season. I fucking hate what he wants to do. I want a tough, old school coordinator calling the plays the focuses on running the football and attacking the field down the seams and playing vertically once the defense commits to the run. That is what Rex Ryan wants. Rex is a better coach than Schotty, and knows football better than he does. Ground and Pound just proved it works. That drive was over 9 minutes. It just changed the momentum in the Jets favor. Schotty once again, for the 3rd consecutive time in Rex's tenure, had to take a back seat to what Rex wants done with his offense. Time to go, Schotty. You don't know how to play like a New York Jet. Your contract is up at the end of the season. I don't want you to return.
Stats for Today. I'll exclude the final drive 10 Possessions. Total time of possession 24:25. Average of 2:27. 8 Possessions less than 2 minutes (all of which were 3 and out). If you exclude the 2nd to last drive (the long TD drive), 8 of 9 drives under 2 minutes. 18:42, average of 2:04 per drive.
Charlie Fucking Weis. During the Bye week. Sanchez should not be taking shit for Plax, and Connor dropping balls. The reason NFL players drop those passes, is COACHING.
