Jets are getting great pressure--but these are some of the softest sacks I've seen...enough with the pillowfight takedowns--let's get a little punishment in on these hits--but keep it legal
You summed up the new NFL right there. You can't hit a QB big time anymore because its either a foul or penalty. So you want big hits, but you want it clean. Not in this NFL.
Jets defense is gassed and this fat bum Rex Ryan is playing pass in the most obvious run situations. They run for 51 yards in this final drive. LOL!! The Jets are just not that good this year. Bad offense, Bad defense, horrible coaching and even worse - a lack of effort. The only good thing the JETS have right now is their special teams due to an excellent coach.
You do realize the defense has been on the field for a great deal of time right? That means they are tired. I don't care which defense in the NFL it is, if you are on the field for the amount of time the JETS D was, you're not going to stop anything. Maybe the JETS offense should have converted some of those 3rd down plays don't ya think?
The Jets gave up run after run after run....the finesse Patriots just pounded the Jets on the ground and pound.
And barring a kick return for a touchdown the game is over, the offense was way to conservative when we were only down by 3.
The Jets don't even have the damn decency to lose the damn game by LESS than 7 damn points, so I can at LEAST win my damn BET!!! LOSERS!
You can't stop everything. I'm sure the D was more then tired by games end. Tough game, as expected. A good win for the Patriots.
Not an unexpected result - meh this year's jets seem the sorriest sack since RR came along - I dont know wtf has happened to them this season there just seems no real spark there anywhere. Positives - Schitty hopefully gets the bullet in the offseason and all our key players are relatively young and locked up for the time being. No reason to think that with a decent offseason we cannot contend next year (assuming that this one continues in the same vein - though its been a brutal 3 games and all 3 were winnable which is the real killer - I am sure the jets will end with a +ve record this year but suspect that they wont make the playoffs this year, the Pats just have too much of lead on us and a pretty soft schedule ahead of them).
