the sole puprpose of this thread was for me to see your avy.

    hilarious.

anyways, we do pass too much. we get shut down like 3 out of 5 runs and then we dont run for a whole series.

i find it funny the OL is horseshit and people just say things as if the rest of the offense should overcome it somehow.

on a even more interesting note, the philosophy last two years was run the ball protect a lead or keep it close, and ask sanchez to make a few good throws when needed.

They seem to have thought with more opportunities he would do better things.

incidentally Sanchez has only proven he cant overcome anything. now hes getting passing yards but its all in vain and not a sign of any actual improvement

he has more attempts than ever and when hes not busy getting crushed or holding onto the ball too long, hes still making stupid reads and staring down receivers.

and as long as our OL plays like this discussing anything else is a moot point in reality

By the way, all 3 of these receivers have been to a SB, and 2/3 won it. I'd say they kno a thing or two about winning offensive schemes.

Feelings towards schotty aside, it is crap that these guys are being so public about this. Schotty s public enemy #1 so nobody cares but Coles used to get killed on these boards for this stuff.

The criticism is not undeserved so please don't assume that's what I am saying.

I tend to agree. I'm not a fan of Schotty by any means, but this shit shouldn't be public knowledge. I'm glad that they complained directly to Rex, but Rex will lose control of this team if he allows the players to run it through the media.

Agreed. You don't call out members of your team in public. I was on the fence about that one until one of my friends, who is also a co-worker, said "That is no different than if we were in a company-wide staff meeting and you announced to everyone that I suck at my job and should be fired" ...to which I replied.. "I would NEVER do that!!!" To which he replied, "Exactly."

Agreed completely. I can see why they would be frustrated with the offense but how does bringing it out in the open help anything? I really wish they'd shut the fuck up.

In my opinion, it has to be public. Everybody that watches this team sees how miserable our offense so far this season.

Maybe by making it public, Rex Ryan will actually realize that he needs to man up and make some changes to both sides of this team...not just defense.

Making it public opens more eyes.

This is just speculation, but I feel like each wideout went to Ryan individually, behind closed doors, and he basically told them that he was sticking with Schottenheimer.

...then these private meetings were made public.

Airing dirty laundry in public doesn't tend to fix things.

I expected a lot more of this offense this year too. I don't know if it will really hurt anything but I feel pretty good about saying it won't help anything.

It's not going to help anything, but I can guarantee you that those wideouts think it will help them get their way.

Until Mark Sanchez turns on Schottenheimer, he'll be New York's OC.

I'm sure they do which is why it's crap. All these guys have a history of bing whiners and it only took two losses or them to get together and throw a tantrum.

Maybe they have tried to do this but I think their energy could be better spent getting together with LT and Sanchez and then all going to schotty to try to all work together on some solutions. Maybe this has been tried and schotty is a stubborn SOB.

"Whatever happens in the mile, STAYS in the mile."

Just what the fuck is up with these idiots? Are they waving white flag on the season this early? Good!

big issue here is we have egos on defense but the CS on D are 1st class and the players know that...whether its right or not the offense has CS which is nowhere near elite and these players who have been winners in their careers know that and will not sit quiet.

I really fear the worst this season...and I am not a SOJF ..but if we lose today and with the Chargers to come it could get really messy quick!

LDT said the same thing

They just got here and come from successful teams with coherant offenses and can't believe the madness that is this system... You'd rather them stfu and continue to play under a terrible system that is bound to fail?

If Derek Mason did handstands on the ice in front of 30 Rock and it somehow hastened the departure of Schotty the Clown from the the NY Jets organization, I would be all for it.
