The defensive front absolutely needs to get some push and not just pressure, but hit Brady HARD. Time has shown that he doesn't take contact very well and gets shaken quite easily when uncomfortable in the pocket. If we don't put any pressure on him, he'll carve up our slow linebackers/safeties and take advantage of mismatches with Gronkowski and Hernandez. Revis and Cro should be able to negate Welker and Ocho, although I suspect that Rex will shift those two around much like he did in the playoffs. If the D doesn't make Brady's life miserable, this game is lost before it begins. The Jets offense is awful and has no chance in hell at beating the Pats in a shoot-out, regardless of how either defense performs. A Jets' win will come in the form of a low-scoring, grueling affair that's won on tough defense and field position.
You're on a Jets board the day before the two teams play each other, you might want to pour yourself a pint of toughen the fuck up.
If I said "Johnny English, go fuck yourself, and your jets fan base." .. I would probably get banned.. right? ..
Yards, and Points both matter. It depends what you do with the yards..but generally I agree with you. Alot of stats are useless. Like the Chargers defense last year being ranked 1. With all the turn overs, and screw ups..opposing teams didn't have to drive far, so the D didn't give up alot of yards. But losing 10 defensive starters to trade,FA, retirement, thats on Belichick(besides the retirement of course, but still on him in a sense to replace) He wins, which is all that matters, but he hasn't done a good job with his defense in 2 consecutive years. It also appears to be getting worse. Losing players to FA/Trades isnt an excuse. Injuries can be an excuse though, but it's a "boo-hoo who cares we all have injuries!!" type of response. No trust me I understand. I didn't get into comparing the Jets O to the Pats D really. If the Jets continue to have sloppy/shit OLine play, then the weak Pats D will obviously be better.
Belichick wasn't the player personnel dude while this bleeding of players was going on. Pioli was the VP of Player Personnel during that time. However it has been on him to rebuild since 2009 or so and it hasn't been happening at a satisfactory rate.
He didn't say that, he said "Patriots and everyone in their fanbase can go fuck themselves". That wasn't a personal attack, it was a general attack. Now stop fucking whining.
This is the best pre-game you've got? "Wah wah wah, the big nasty boys said rude things to me, not fair wah wah wah......" Grow up.
I would assume the paggot that keeps trying to be a moderator here. And he's not talking 'too', genius.
