I didn't think this would turn into a joke thread.

    Should have posted this:

Sanchez needs to scramble more and he needs to get more accurate.

Once he's more accurate we will talk SB. Until then, he won't win the division.

    What a stupid fuckin thread.

With all those 'flaws', the fucking guy still won 4 playoff games.

Why didn't you post this after we beat NE in the playoffs last year?

Go make another prediction thread, Bro Pesci.

Sadly, a lot of posters on this site with still think you actually know what you're talking about.

That isn't a weakness............ I don't see the problem with the thread, maybe some of the criticism is odd.

If you believe that Mark Sanchez is perfect you could just say so.

The purpose of the thread is for people to describe the flaws they see in him and then defend those descriptions.

I will defend every flaw I described above until somebody gives me a good argument that the flaw does not exist or that it is actually somebody else's flaw in play not Mark Sanchez flaw.

He definitely has areas of weakness and at this point, 41 starts into his career those flaws are on display. The question is which of them are fixable and which do not matter.

The slower release probably cannot be corrected because one of the side effects of changing a long-armed QB's motion to make it quicker is that accuracy and velocity are lost in the process. The question is whether or not the slower release really matters or not.

I didn't read anything after that "physical flaws" garbage...so I can't comment on the second half of the original post.

However, I will say that the physical flaw garbage is garbage.

Here's the thing...you see a flaw. Have YOU worked for a NFL team? Have YOU scouted? Have YOU played QB at a high level?

The guy played 2 seasons in the NFL, and we're going to dissect this kind of shit?

They also said Drew Brees was too short, and his arm will never be the same after surgery...you know who "they" were? People like you.

    Sheesh. Seriously.

The QB can go only so far as his system allows him to. Even during the college days, Sanchez wasn't known for his touches in short passing games. Like I noted in other threads, his swing passes makes you cringe every time he tries that. This was why I immediately thought WCO is just not a good fit with Sanchez.

Look at where Sanchez excels. He revels with opportunities to throw downfield. He always excelled with long balls (especially when Braylon Edwards was there to catch the long balls) and that's where his strengths lie. That skill set is well-complimented by his excellent athleticism - he is very dangerous threat on the run too - either as a passer or as a rusher.

True, it would have been real good if he was 6'5" type QB - but then with that kind of frame, you can't expect the QB to run around like he does. You'd be looking at a pure pocket passer more or less. So what can Jets do about this? They can try what every team has done in the past with short QBs - make sure the OLs, while blocking their assignment, create 'passing lanes' through which Sanchez can see downfield.

This game has been played for long, LONG time and non-critical physical shortcomings were dealt with ad nauseum. As for Sanchez, he does NOT have slow delivery, and his flaws are easily manageable with schemes and plays. (Only if Schottenheimer gets his head out of his own ass soon enough.)
