TRich, Ellis, Brad Smith, and Cotchery are the names that pop into my head. Can't disagree with anything he said.
Jenkins is making a lot of sense in terms of the line progressing. The situation is eerily similar to the situation I experienced when I was in the army. I was working in the armsroom, and I had one senior sergeant, and one corporal above me, and one PFC below for me. The thing was, the corporal and PFC were not really good at the work, so I ended up doing most of the work with the senior SGT. It was all good and dandy until the senior SGT was discharged. Once he was gone, all the responsibility fell squarely on me. That didn't bother me at all - which was why I didn't bother training other soldiers. Then a load of horse shit hit the fan once I left on a pass/leave; reports were being relayed late, weapons are not maintained properly, etc etc etc. Then my friend kindly told me "That's how you fuck up a good organization working like a well-oiled machine." Ever since that day, I never allow all the responsibilities to get concentrated on one point - centralizing has its merits, but the shortcomings are just way too great to look over. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Isn't that what's happening with the Jets OL now? Mangold literally is the OL if what Jenkins is saying is true. This shouldn't happen. Other teammates had to step up and learn how to make line adjustments instead of leaving it all to Mangold.
If you believe that you (1) did NOT watch the game at all on Sunday and (2) know nothing about Jenkins. There's not a whole lot that he posted that can be argued with. And in retrospect, did he get cut? I thought he left the game on his own (my memory is shit)
Fuck man, that is really damning commentary by Jenkins, who is a guy who has a pretty high football iq. What worries me is that it seems like we only see the tip of the iceberg as far as these problems go, and that the issues may run very deep.
Haha, except Jenkins actually has real insight into this team and more of a right to identify the problems/assign blame.
Thanks. And shame on my pure laziness for not simply looking that up before I typed. LOL! That said, I still don't think this is a disgruntled tweeter.
Actually he retired. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/20/kris-jenkins-announces-retirement/
I did like this exchange, it reminds me of Mr E: Michael McGrath: Kris, enough with the analysis on FB already......watching the real analysts custer, klecko, lucas, and schein on post game live on sny. Didn't u say u were in broadcasting earlier??? Facebook broadcasting??? Hahahaha Kristopher Jenkins: Watch you might learn something Mike McGrath cause right now you are getting mad at me like you played and put in the time to help lead the team and get them together and help NY have a championship.... and tore ACLs putting you life on the line. BUT wait.. THAT WAS MEEEE and you were holding your junk on the couch and laughing at your own facebook posts. I bled for this team you idiot so I have more of a right to be frustrated than you do. Dip your thumb in hot metal, file it down to a sharp point and sit on it!!!! THEN YOU WILL GET THE POINT!!!!!
I was wondering how long it would take the Homers to make an appearance in this thread. Jenks was spot on in his assessment particularly about getting rid of the players with the heart. Right now, we really don't have a leader per se as Sanchez keeps doing stupid shit with the ball. Its hard to be the "leader" when you're making rookie mistakes in year 3. His Schotty comment was eerily similar to what we've been saying damn near 6years now. Maybe he has video of Rex and his wife doing the footy thing and that's why he's still employed.
A few things: First... he is right on, so is Joe They want the Jets to get the problems fixed so they can win Two the O-line problem is not talent. Its like any other job. One person shoulders the responsibility (Mangold & line-calls) while others get by doing as little as possible. Lets hope somebody makes guys like Moore & Slauson step up if thats whats needed Three Schotty's more of a problem than we even imagined. Rex needs to step in and make sure that Callahan, or Tom Moore or whomever, gets the play-calling right.
At some point Conner needs to take over... Ellis got paid a boatload more than he's worth. Brad Smith is an icing on the cake player and Cotchery wanted out... Not really game changers here. i think that's a pretty bogus statement.
