First time I have popped into this thread. Consider this a warning to all on the attacks. Next one gets a ban.
I use Ryan and Flacco as examples since they're fairly recent and had similar numbers to Sanchez in year 2 in their second years. I don't know that Eli is his ceiling. Honestly, I wonder sometimes if Eli has reached his own ceiling...he might be better off on another team. Remember what Kurt Warner did after leaving the Giants? It's hard to put a ceiling on Sanchez because he had such a short college career. I do think from what we've seen he can mature into a top 15 QB. Maybe top 10. No idea if he can be better than that yet. Sanchez's floor is easy, its Sanchez in his rookie year. If he ever approaches those numbers again he will be on the bench. If you look at his year 1 to year 2 numbers though he made the kind of jump you want to see.
The current Patriots WRs are a bad match up for Cro because they are small and quick. He struggles with those option routes. It might be another long day at the office for Cro if we don't get some pressure on Tom.
This game won't be won stopping the Patriots running game. You're going to need to replicate what was done in last years playoffs which is stop Brady throwing to the open man while putting pressure on him without blitzing.
I like it when people type huge blocks of horse puckey in response to an obviously sarcastic remark. Well done sir!! Here's a clue: Teams have been game planning against other for about the past 100 years or so.
The Pats have no pass rush and a shit D so I'm more confident this week. The offense will rebound but it'll come down to the defense and stopping Brady.
Touchdowns versus field goals. But yeah the Jets are going to need to slow Brady down because I don't think Sanchez and the O could keep up the pace still. Very possible though. They are are also going to need to blanket Welker.
True ... Patriots got a shitty defense, can't deny that .. They have given up a whopping 98 points this year ... Would you like to know how many points the Jets have given up? 95 ..
I seriously hope they have Cromartie play bump and run. He gets screwed when he's playing off coverage and has to think. Let him bump and then run with the receiver. He's much better at that.
31 of which the offense was directly responsible for. 64 points on scoring drives in 4 games = 16 ppg for the defense.
Which is fine, but sometimes numbers don't tell the whole story. That would be like blaming Sunday's loss on the defense because the Ravens scored 34 points. Or saying the Ravens D was average because they let up 17 points.
Ha really? So you only go by part of the numbers but not the ones that go against what you are saying. The only game our D played poorly was the Oakland game.
What other numbers do you speak of my jet fan friend? I clearly said earlier the Pats defense is horrid..
31 points given up by units other then our D. Offense also giving D bad field position and basically free fgs. Look at the numbers the Jags and Ravens O put up on us.
Its a division game, I expect it to be tough and close. I don't make predictions. If the league were predictable no one would watch and if we go back to all the fan predictions in preseason, we can see for certain that its not predictable.
