With an offensive line that has been better in the running game than back in passing protection, I don't mind this move, but we need to get Greene out of the starting spot. Schottenheimer destroyed the guys confidence, he's not running with any urgency, and he just looks lost now. Split carries with him and LT, mix up where you run them (in or outside of the tackles)

The passing game, in my opinion, is dead after last night. Everyone knows our routes and formations, we don't use max protect against blitz so Sanchez gets destroyed (his confidence too) and we have too many damn receivers in the same spot in our formations. Until Schottenheimer learns what a slant is and how to use the middle of the field, we should focus on getting the run game up and running.

Now Belichick is going to spend all week game planning against the run, he will not even focus on the passing game

Then come gametime, BAM, the Jets pass on every down. I see what Rex did there.

    3rd and Long...

    DRAW PLAY!!!

    ah, the memories...

On the other side, Sanchez does have a nice play action move so if we run the ball, maybe...

Also, running the ball will give the D a rest. I'm not happy about their being on the field 30+ minutes a game.

Didn't expect us to be that low...Damn.

Every single corner/safety blows. Only reason why they aren't cut is that they were draft picks...

Sanchez should have a career day.

Could have, not sure. Let's not be concerned about a 6th round QB that never had the ability to play in the NFL as a starting QB.

Anyone that knows football, knows Trestman is a brilliant offensive coach and especially works well with QBs.

Trestman was the OC when the Raiders lead the league in Offense in 2002 and went to the Super Bowl. Rich Gannon's success those few years in Oakland have been contributed to Trestman. Gannon was arguably the best QB in the NFL during those few years.

Trestman worked with Jake Plummer in 1998 and Plummer threw for over 3700+ yards, his best season. Plummer was never the same after Trestman moved on.

Just a name I threw out there to replace Shotty, since Trestman has worked with Bill C.

If he's better than Schotty, I'm all for hiring the guy.

Yeah, that makes sense, with an O-Line about as stable as Charles Manson on Crack, going against the the leagues last place secondary with legitimately zero pass rush.

I call BS on this, It is just Rex trying to make a pathetic attempt to trick the Pats into game planning against the rush, this will not happen. The Jets do not have a rushing game. The blueprint to beat this years Pats has already been established by inferior QBs than Sanchez.

Throw the ball deep & win. That is it.

I know it's only Connor's 2nd season but I'm hoping we could run some of the plays similar to what Baltimore was doing last night. I understand Vontae Leach and Ray Rice are better then what we have but I want to see Connor in there lead blocking some more.

That guy is ALWAYS wide open in Goal line situations.

    I shit you not.

That's the difference between schotty, and the Pat's Charlie Weis Legacy offense.

Every pass ever thrown to Mike Vrabel, went for a TD. Hunter would be perfect in that capacity. (10 for 10)

We're already seeing 8/9 in the box...let's draw the corners down as well.

I don't know if we should GROUND AND POUND but in yesterday's game, like nearly every possession it was always run the ball on 1st down, then pass the ball on 2nd down. It was horrible.

Lord knows the pass blocking is going to get Sanchez killed if they keep heading down the same path as the first 4 weeks. Go back to what at least had some success, albeit with a much worse O Line.

Also, can Mark get to the line and call the play, forget all the needless shifting?
