I don't think he's analyzing it correctly because that clock is his head is cut in half right now. This could easily destroy him in the long term.
Same shit different day. Same mistakes, same play calls, same results. * 23 times we snapped the ball with 2 seconds or less on the play clock. Talk about putting an already poor/decimated line in an even tougher position, with the defense being able to easily jump the snap * dives right at the teeth of the defense, over and over, despite it not working one time. * routes and plays called 2 to 3 yards short of the first down marker on third down, near the sideline were there is little chance for RAC to pick it up * dinks and dunks, maybe the weakest part of our QBs game, consitently being called. * 2 yard passes to the flat/sideline as the first option, continue to put us in long yardage * play calling so predictable my 3 year old daughter is calling them out * nothing being done to help the oline pass protection. no creativity whatsoever. nothing to back the d off. and worst, never going back to things that worked, while continuing to do the same things that arent. a beat up, weak oline isnt shottys fault. sanchez inaccuracies arent shottys fault. But not designing game plays to hide those weaknesses, and to play to our strengths, most certainly is his fault.
I'm just going to brainlessly stop in and say F*** Schotty. When he's fired can we turn this thread into a trashtalk forum one?
Let's run it up the middle against Ngata and Lewis, behind our backup center of course. They'll never suspect that!
It's not a question of short/long. It's a question of getting a better 3rd/4th guy against their 3rd/4th corner. You only need to get 5-7 yards. The idea is to get him standing up, not dropping back, and delivering the ball in 3 seconds, so he's not getting mauled. Last nights offensive gameplan was disgusting, and Charlie Weis is cooling is heels in the NCAA.
We could have had Bill Walsh calling plays and Joe Montana QBing our O and still we woiuld have been thrashed w/ no OL. Our OC cannot magically make the OL open holes in the ground game and potect the QB. Brian deserves his share of the blame along w/ many others but it's just silly to blame this debacle on one person.
When are our favorite posters going to take 2 minutes away from tongue-fucking Shotty's asshole and come in her to defend him, AGAIN?
Said it numerous times as many have on here..his gameplanning is frankly pathetic....only time we look good as an offense is when we are chasing the game and seemingly the calls are simplified and play to our strengths. None of the offense coaches in the last 20 years havehad the weapons he has and the results stink
And lets put Sanchez under center, in the I formation, and then throw it. No sense in getting Mason,Plax,Holmes, and Kerley on the field. Shotgun???? Huh?
a soon as the clueless posters start bashing him- oh wait that already happened. Obviously the O was brutal but to blame the OC alone for what went on last night is beyond clueless.
The O functions as a collective unit under the OC's watch. If the unit as a whole is not operating because of problems with personnel placement, playcalling, formations etc, IT'S ON HIS WATCH! He's the coordinator and like it or not, he's ultimately the one who's accountable. Why you are willing to give this guy a pass is beyond me, but then again, it's quite clear to everyone else that you are the clueless/delusional one in this subject area.
EXACTLY! This is why Schotty is a fucking joke. OK, so the O-line was terrible, Sanchez was rushed, he makes some bad decisions when rushed. That has NOTHING to do with the play that's being called! I don't care if you have Nick Mangold, Logan Mankins, Bryant McKinnie, Russell Okung and D'Brickashaw out there on the o-line... YOU DO NOT RUN UP THE MIDDLE ON THE RAVENS! And this isn't just against the Ravens, this has been a season long thing, dating back to last season. And it goes to what Holmes said last week about not adjusting. When we aren't getting anything up the middle, but we ARE getting some yards running outside the tackles, WHY do we insist on running up the middle? This is seriously reaching the "Paul Hacket draw play" level of stupidity.
I'm not giving him a pass, he deserves his share of the blame but to act like it's all on him is unfair and 100% wrong. We have played 4 games and the O has had ONE bad game. The O hasn't been very good yet but that was the first bad game. We averaged 25 PPG coming into last night w/ the O not yet humming. I'll take that. This O will get better as the Ol gets healthier and Sanchez gets comfortable w/ his receivers.
while not having enough talent or being healthy is an excuse for poor output, it is certainly NOT an excuse for poor game planning, poor preparation, and poor adjustments.
didn't you know that any OC could have success w/ a team that can't run it and can't protect the passer?
I haven't seen poor game planning and poor preparation. Have we adjusted as well as we could? probably not but lack of execution has hurt us the most.
