    Aaron Maybin.

I thought he played very well tonight. He was explosive and looked to be really passionate about playing. It seems like he doesn't like being called a bust, he wants to get better, unlike Gholston.

Yes he might not always be effective, but I think in the right scheme, going against specific, slower tackles he can really help this defense.

Even if he doesn't get a sack on a play he will still create a large gap between the Tackle and the guard allowing another player to come thru for an opportunity at a sack

On another note, how about Joe McKnight playing defense

I appreciate his hustle but he still isn't any good.

On the strip sack he was originally blocked out of the play with a single forearm of the lineman. He gets props for continuing to hustle and making a play. I just do not see it as a revelation.

How about Joe McKnight running back kicks? I've never seen so much talk of a bust of a pick directed to a 4th rounder before.

Maybin had a great game today. Even if he doesn't do anything for the rest of the season he's already accomplished more than Gholston ever had as a Jet. He still looks like he has no sense of coordination out there and he gets blocked way too easily but I have never seen that much effort from someone before in my life.

Every play he was putting everything he had into getting to the QB. If you're going to fail, fail trying to wreck somebody. Maybin has been living that advice since he came to the Jets, probably even before that.

Both Maybin & McKnight showed they were gamers tonite. Maybin is a threat every play he's on the field. Both need to get more reps. Maybin needs to play every down. He should start opposite Pace. McKnight should get the start also againnst Pats.

Also Jets could take a look at Kyle Wilson at Safety, paired with Jim Leonard.

Speed rush to get around the edge, LT pushes him, fall down

Get up, go inside rush, your own momentum makes you trip on the turf....SNIPER!!!!

If he bends his knees and pushes outwards he'll learn how to ice skate properly

Maybin gets knocked over by the wind.

But I really like his motor and his hustle. I'm glad we kept him around. You have to keep expectations low, but I like his speed.

Thats really what I'm getting at.

The kid was just playing at 100 miles an hour. Anyone who is that fast and plays with that much intensity, I want on my team.

Yes he was out of control but, he still freaked flacco the fuck out.
