Newsflash MBG: The Jets Coaching Staff sucks monkey balls thus far this season. Maybe the Jets Coaching Staff should worry a little bit less about legitimate criticisms of their shitty job performance and focus on doing their damn jobs and winning football games and not embarrasing themselves on the football field like they did last weekend. And BTW: Only a bunch of losers looking for excuses would blame the accurate and rather tame comments of a retired HOFer for their crap awful job performances thus far. If their fragile little egos can't tolerate criticism they should get the hell out of the way and let somebody else show them how to get the job done. These guys deserve to be criticized - they are playing like a bunch of pussies - missed assignments, arm tackling, getting mauled on the line and routinely run over and juked out of their jocks. They don't like criticism???? Tough. They Fng deserve to be criticized for that crap performance. I haven't read all the replies so I apologize if I repeat something someone has said but, what intrigues me about Mr. Namath's comments is that I have heard little to no comments 'before' Ryan and the Jets back to back AFC Championship games. Where were all these criticisms in the past?? Now that the Jets are considered by many a perennial playoff team doesn't invite diarrhea of the mouth even if it's from a hometown legend.
Nobody here whines about what he says that is pro-Jets. Which is 99% of everything he says about the team.
Why would you criticize a team for making the ACCG? The criticisms this season are legit b/c this team seems to believe its own hype waaaay too much - they are not playing good football. If the team was playing good hard nosed football and knocking people on their butts - there would be no reason to criticize. Instead this team went out and laid an egg in Oaktown and they deserved to lose agains the Boys. If you want to stand up and cheerlead and pretend this team is playing good football - thats up to you, I'm glad Namath is criticizing them - they deserve it.
I still could care less what his opinion is either way. He is just a glorified fan at this point in time. That makes his opinion as good, or bad, as any of ours.
Man this is some SOJF stuff right here. We're only 3 games into the year - the Jets are going to end up as a legit top 5 or 6 team. Stop making hyperbolic claims about how bad the team is when they literally had less than half an off-season to prepare. Everybody knew the defense and o-line would take time to gel coming in.... things will turn around.
Why is hyperbole to accurately state the fact that the Jets have not played well? He didn't say they weren't gonna play well the rest of the year, he said they need to pick it up.
We're 2-1 so far. I'd hate to hear what you think of the coaching staffs around the league who have a sub .500 record. As far as Namath goes, he still needs to shut his piehole. The guy is a rambling embarrassment to the franchise.

MB they are 2-1 but should be 1-2 based on how they have played. And as for Namath, he's a Jets fan who has always had something to say his entire life, that's Joe. He's awesome and he is 100% correct in his assessment of the way this team is playing - bad football team right now. Matt slauson should shut his fat piehole and block for a change instead of going out there and embarrassing himself. These Jets are acting like primma donnas with frail little egos - they need to start playing some smashmouth football and quit worrying about what people are saying about their poor performances.

So which NFL teams have looked like great football teams through the first 3 weeks of the season? Anyone who thinks we have played good football for 3 weeks is kidding themselves. Anyone panicking about that after 3 weeks needs to buck up. It's early we either get it fixed or we don't. Everyone at this point has stuff to get fixed, even the Packers, Lions and Bills.
