I hope Maybin makes the team for real this time. I am not convinced he is a complete bust yet. He played well in the preseason at least, unlike Gholston who showed absolutely nothing in the preseason for the Bears. Ryan should put him at the SS spot in the 46 on occassion.
He at least showed something in pre-season. Granted, it was against the caliber player that he will not see on Sunday's, but it's not like he's taking the roster spot from somebody that is getting to the QB on a regular basis.
Well hopefully he's a good cover LB, because we definitely need someone to step up and cover those damn tight ends, they've been destroying us. I sincerely hope he can help with the pass rush.
I wouldn't count on him being able to cover. All i've ever heard about his that he rush the passer and not a word on anything else. Makes that he would be able to cover because of his speed and first step but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Buffalo possibly losing to Cincy has nothing to do with signing Maybin twice in one season. I'm sure it'll work out just fine this time
The jets could sign him 10 times this year and it would still work out better than drafting him in the 1st round.
I think he'll flourish with the jets. He's being asked to just rush the passer and with his speed we have to see what he can do in real games in this system.
This guy has the speed to be used as a rover and a force on delayed blitzes. Rex knows what the tape revealed and what he needs to make this defense click.

I skimmed through the posts from today, and didn't see it mentioned, but does anybody know whether signing Maybin this far in to the season has any implications on whether his salary will be guaranteed for the whole season? Could that be why the team waited until now to sign him, on a handshake agreement last month, lets say?
