He blocked Burress, Burress would have been open but the DB shoved him. That isn't legal

I wasn't talking about the sack where he got hit in the face, he got hit late a couple of times w/ no call.

The officiating in yesterday's game was awful. They knew how bad that roughing call was as soon as they announced so they threw in the intentional grounding penalty to offset the penalty on Wilkerson.

I actually thought this too. Especially because the intentional grounding seemed like a major afterthought.

I hope we never see the crew for the rest of the year!

This. The Wilkerson call was terrible, but it didn't have an effect on the success of that drive given the offsetting penalty. It's not like the Raiders had to convert on a 3rd down that would have been a 4th down.

Rarely a team overcomes 4 pass interference calls on one guy and a fumble by that same guy right near the goal line.

Lets just say its a recipe for disaster

overall officiating was miserable... it honestly feels like every time the ball goes to cromartie and its not a completion or an interception, there HAS to be a flag... there was one holding that sticks out in my mind that was SOOOO bad.. complete phantom call.. i really dont think he made the slightest bit of contact... i mean i know cromartie seems incredibly dumb and is susceptible to the big play, but give the guy a break... EVERY TIME? so frustrating... i feel like hes become the sean avery of the NFL...

and i really hate to sound like the whiny fan and say we dont ever get any calls but C"MON! the one that shouldve been called on Plax too really sticks out in my mind... you mean to tell me that if cromartie was the DB there they would've let that one go? please

I do recall one specific play in which he was hit late but they didn't throw a flag. It wasn't too long after the garbage Wilkerson play.

What irked me about the officials yesterday was not knowing when to throw a flag but throwing it on plays where it should have been thrown. I thought all except one on Cromartie were the right calls. The play he tripped and was too far away from the receiver to make contact and they threw a flag was horseshit but he sucked yesterday.

I thought the two biggest screw ups of the game were the non holding calls on the McFadden run where not one but two Jet defenders were held. The DE (not sure who it was) was taken to the ground by his jersey and Smith further down field was clearly being held and then the non PI call in the EZ on Burress on the last drive.

the NFL is going the way of the NBA and that is inconsistent calls from the refs.

Also i couldnt believe on the jets last offensive play of the game where they reversed the call on the rushing td...was it only me or was Sanchez helmet nearly ripped off his head by the face mask and nothing was called. If it wasnt a td it should have atleast been a penalty first and goal!

I may be wrong here, but the play before the Mcfadden run(which was the turning pt of the game) wasn't there a complete BS call that gave them 1st and 10 instead of 3rd and long? The more I thought about it today, the Jets played like crap after that happened. Before that, the Raiders were almost a guaranteed 3 and out.
