    Great analysis.

This is just when the shit from the first 2 weeks hits the fan because we lost. If we're a great team, I'd like to do better against the only two decent teams we played against. If Romo doesn't make two ridiculous mistakes in the 4th quarter, I'd have a lot more agreement in this thread.

Right now, last year's team would beat this year's team. Our OL is far worse, our WRs are worse, and our defense is the same. And last year's team wasn't good enough to win the Super Bowl.

By no means am I writing this season off. Far from it. I just don't see how you can objectively look at this team and say we are a great team right now. And I don't see the young talent, besides Sanchez, that's going to improve throughout the season to put this team over the top.

Bit of an overreation. They are going to lose games during the regular season.

OL looks bad is really the only consistent problem.

the first 1/2 of the season has always been meaningless to me....teams that make runs heat up the last 6-8 games....get emotional after the half way point not now

If you're referring to me, I'm really not being that emotional. Problems we had in the first 2 games manifested themselves again today, and as a result, we lost.

    Sanchez still makes bad decisions.

The runningbacks aren't good enough to make plays on their own.

The offensive line is getting abused.

    The receivers aren't getting separation.

The defense doesn't make enough big plays. But like I said, I'm not that worried about the defense. It's the offense that bothers me. They're putting up points, which is positive, but we have no identity, we're getting destroyed at the line of scrimmage, and we leave a lot of points on the board.

Yeah the first 8 games don't matter at all. If you go 2-6, it's all about getting hot in December.

    Really??

If it helps, most of last year's playoff teams have looked pretty shaky this season thus far.

Truth. But without an elite QB, we have a lot less margin for error than most teams. I'm just concerned about this offensive line. I don't know if Sanchez can make it one more week against Baltimore taking this type of beating.

Besides Brees, Brady and Rodgers, how many QBs do you consider elite?
Brady's got the same record as us, and the other 2 are in the NFC.

If Collin Baxter is the starter next week, Sanchez better get room ready at Johns Hopkins...........

I think Sanchez would playing a lot better if the O Line hasn't been so damn putrid. It isn't just Baxter. Something ain't right.

I think the offensive line's performance in this game is being overblown. There was one play where Keller and Hunter both blocked the same guy and there was a free shot at Sanchez but other than that the sacks and pressure seemed like a result of Sanchez not wanting to pull the trigger or no one being open. It's tough to tell on these road games where you can't see the whole field on most plays. If you're going to drop back and pass 40 times a game you're going to take some shots, it seems like Sanchez is more interested in curling up and bracing for the hit when he sees pressure coming than standing in the pocket and delivering the ball but possibly taking a big shot.

yeah....Wayne Hunter has regressed as well.

We really needed Ducasse to "get it" this season.

Man it looked like we were going to dominate about halfway through the 2nd quarter until we gave up the run to Mcfadden. All down hill from there. Im going to try and forget about this game and just wait it out til next week.

This is what I am finding consolation in right now:
New England 2-1 (lost to Buffalo, not that good, idc what you say)
Baltimore 2-1 (lost to Tennesse, not that good)
Pittsburgh 2-1 MAYBE, an absolute shit Indy team is keeping the game close
    San Diego 2-1

Don't get me wrong, Im livid. The last time we lost in Oakland is what made me sign up on this forum, I had to vent. Lets just wait and see. I do wish we would win the games were supposed to win though, when you have such a tough schedule as we do.

A bit overblown, but still a concern, sanchez played well enough for us to win the game, but it was the defense that failed us.

I watched the whole game, and I know this much:

    1. This team is not as bad as the stat line says it is.

    2. The offense is not as bad either.

    3. The defense played well enough as a matter of fact.

    4. Obviously, the refs thought they were playing for Raiders today. They were throwing flags for phantom holding calls and pass interference calls while obliviously ignoring Raiders OL holding. I know it's stretching a little bit, but this Raider team, with the help of the refs, could even give a convincing fight against even the legendary '85 Bears.

I keep replaying that bullshit call right before Mcfadden ran for the long TD in my head. It would have been 3rd and long instead if not for that bad call and changed the play call for the raiders.

    Ten draft picks.

When we have ten draft picks and two in the first round we might get something like 2006 again. Lately we seem to have 5 or 6 picks and that puts a lot of pressure on the first rounder. When you get Revis as one of four you're ok. When you get Gholston as one of six you're not. The Jets have to start respecting the draft more as a depth provider or the kind of problems we're having this year are just going to become more and more exaggerated until having Revis and Mangold doesn't matter any more because the Wayne Hunters are dragging them down.
